Backstory

How does one become a wanderer?

Many reasons can drive someone to become a wanderer. The thrill of adventuring into the unknown, the feeling of being unwanted in villages, being driven away by their own family. Becoming an exile. Being some sort of horrible being of destruction. Being a mage in a small town, being a warrior in a town of magic, being a 'mother fucking demon'.

Farin falls into the very latter, sadly. Well, no, she's is part demon. In fact, she was born a human....to a mother who never had seen the touch of a man, or at least that's the story her family spread. Nevertheless, the fact that there was this 'immaculate conception' would make the church raise its eyebrows....and everyone believed it to be the work of an incubus.

The truth? It was not an incubus, but merely a lesser Infernal, and not the 'supremely evil kind', in which a 'lot' of magic was done to hide her Infernal self...more on that later.

So, Farin and her mother fled...till her mother died at the very least. It was nothing that Farin could prevent, being an illness and depression brought on by losing everything. It saddened her...but there was something her mother instilled in her from the day she could remember things.

"Farin...All you have to do is remember these things. Protect the weak, Do no harm to the just...and follow your heart."

Well..Farin followed her heart...and she's been following it ever since.

Personality

Farin has what one would call an 'optimistic' personality. She really does like to see the bright side of things, and will never become too down because things are bleak. She likes to cheer people up who are sad, and always tries to have that positive outlook when it comes to approaching new people.

She is, as well, quite friendly and absolutely fearless. Yes, fearless. She has tried to make friends with nearly every monstrous being she has encountered on the road, even if that's led to her needing to defend herself on many an occasion.In turn, though, she is actually a friend to the Gnoll and the goblin tribes, as they seem to have took to her infectious cheeriness and willingness to actually -make- friends with them.

One might call that suicidal...but she's got this far, hasn't she?

Abilites

Mark of Solomon: On her inner left thigh, one would swear there was a mark of satan, given the knowledge people have of the 'infernal'. The inverted pentagram in a circle, the 'unholy symbol'. In fact...they would be dead wrong. This is the Seal of Solomon, tattooed onto her thigh and given amazing power of sealing, holding back her inner infernalness so she would never be cast out where she went. As long as this seal is working, no one can tell her from any other human, even with the most probing of spells.

'Magic': That isn't to say that the taint didn't leech through some before the seal was cast upon her. She actually can manipulate steam, smoke, and flames with ease, though she is convinced this is a gift from the gods themselves, knowing little of her past or that mark on her thigh. She can, as well, cast rather potent healing spells, though those -are- a gift from the gods, seeing her as a shining light, despite her infernal heritage.

Solomon Curse: That mark? It can fail. It's called the 'Solomon Curse'. Years ago, a descendant of Solomon himself made a deal with the devil that weakened the power of the solomon seal from that very point. Because of this...if Farin should become too emotionally charged in terms of anger or despair...the seal begins to fail, rapidly. Black lines cut along her body, her eyes glow a bright red...and she grows long, twisted horns that circle the sides of her head....and if it continues to fail, she can even grow black feathered wings as well.

This, however, does not change her personality, she is still farin no matter what, and despite her 'evil' appearance, she becomes even more gentle and protective in this form, because of her emotionally ramped up situation.
