Basic Information Name: Faolan Blanc Age: 24 Sex/Gender: Male/Male Ethnicity: Caucasian Race: Dire Okami (Demi-Human Wolf) Height: 5’8” Weight: 165 lbs |
Appearance Demi-human: If Faolan were a normal wolf, he would likely be called "beautiful" to those just viewing him normally or "handsome" to those that handled him; however, Faolan is anything but a normal wolf. As an okami, Faolan stands at some fair height of 5'8" tall, seeming rather short in comparison to some of his other kin. Usually buried in baggy clothing, it's hard to tell that Faolan has a fairly lean build, his size making his abnormal strength all the more surprising. His hair and fur is a pure white color and his eyes a crystalline blue. Feral: Faolan goes from a tall wolf, to a huge one. In this form, Faolan is a 40 foot tall (12.2 meter) tall wolf with a length of 80 feet (24.4 meters). In general, his looks stay the same except he’s a wolf! His eyes do so he’s sentient if you look close enough. |
General Personality Faolan is generally a calm, loving soul that tends to care for the fellow people around him; however, Faolan has both the drive to live and the desire to protect those around him. In those brief moments of danger, Faolan will allow just a bit a slip of his feral nature to show through. |
Background/History Faolan was born to two dire okami in the wilds that were attempting to modernize themselves and adapt to society; however, Faolan's early life was filled with similar strife as with all dire okami: hunted by those who feared them. While his family built up their cabin to attempt to blend into the society around them, hunters slowly approached with torches and guns in hand. Hiding him away, Faolan's parents attempted to talk the hunters down until the roaring sound of thunderous gunfire echoed. That night was filled with snarls, screams, pained whines, and then silence. When the morning came, the only thing the young wolf would find is corpses. Having no other choice and fearing for his own safety, Faolan pulled himself deeper into the forest, pressed between two mountains, in order to hide. Faolan learned to blend himself into society by hiding his ears, often using hunters' trading posts and such to garner himself supplies. Despite his fear of hunters, Faolan saw them as anyone else: people with hopes and fears. So while he harbored anger for his parents' deaths, he never did act upon it, only taking up his feral abilities when he absolutely had to. Continuing with his parents' dream of modernizing themselves, using his innate hunting abilities and trickery, Faolan managed to get himself a cabin and supplies that one might find at many of the hunter settlements. Of course, one can't live alone forever. One day, when Faolan found himself at his parents' memorial, he heard the bolt of a rifle click back. The sound of gunfire soon following. Managing to use his own energy to deflect the bullet, Faolan got into the fight with a hunter then and there. Choosing to not go fully feral, Faolan fought with his bare hands, garnering cuts, scrapes, and a few more severe injuries before both he and the hunter were exhausted and in massive pain. After several moments, Faolan's own wounds patched themselves up to minor ones, but the hunter, Faolan soon found was a huntress, was still injured. Despite his instinctive desire to simply toss her aside in defense of his own life, Faolan saved hers. From there, it seems like a fairy tale, forbidden romance. The wolf and the huntress slowly falling into love. Of course, the forbidden part would make that too easy. Her disappearances to have swift nights with Faolan started to garner the attraction of other hunters. Fearing for both her own life and Faolan's, the romance was soon cut off entirely, leaving the okami once again alone and in hiding. Even now, Faolan remains in the silent forests around his home, simply living day-to-day while enjoying the peace and serenity he does have. |
Story Hooks Once Loved, Always Loved: The huntress Faolan once was in love with returns to attempt to rekindle that old flame between them; however, not without some potential consequences or accidental shootings. |
Extra Notes Dire Okami are a race of wolf demis which have some fairly unique aspects. Much like werewolves, they have the ability to shift; although, their shifting tends to be in the sense of large wolves that are simply far too large and dangerous for most to fight. The increased speed and strength making these forms deadly. Being near-impervious to magic and enhanced healing make dire okami a deadly opponent. However, their shifted forms are much stronger than their demi-human forms, and it takes a brief moment of concentration for them to change. Silver also drastically reduces their healing rate and can easily pierce their tough hides. Faolan is quite the mage despite not knowing how to fully control magic.
