Awfully generic backstory incoming! Not exactly necessary, so if tl;dr, scroll on down to the line.

Meet Ezatana, giantess, fisher-woman, and ex-monster slayer. This massive, cheerful woman was quite a handful growing up, you see, born into an otherwise normal family in a coastal village, she was once a normal sized young girl, but as soon as the growth spurts hit, it was clear that she was destined for ...ahem... bigger things. At the age of ten, she was already at the near-unmanageable height of ten feet, and showed no signs of stopping, much to the chagrin of her family, who was forced to construct a specialized rooms, clothes, and luxuries for her, not to mention the massive amount of food they needed to spare for her! On the bright side, she was a big help in many of the larger tasks of village upkeep, such as ship maintenance and hauling. It was just enough to keep the rest of the town from throwing her out.

But even then, she kept on growing, eventually stopping at a staggering twenty feet. The village leaders had just about had it with her, and was planning on giving her an ultimatum when she turned twenty. Either become more worth than trouble, or leave the village to fend for herself. However, mere weeks before that would have occurred, tragedy struck. She was just at her home, enjoying her dinner as a loud chorus of screams from the coast rung out, confused, she hurried to the source to find the villagers gathered, watching in horror as an incoming fishing boat, loaded with the day's haul was attacked by a large, seafaring monster. The massive, bipedal yet fish-like beast ravaged the vessel, tearing it apart to claim the meat for itself, soon leaving it destroyed.

The village leaders, although saddened by the tragic event, saw opportunity as well. Such massive beasts are prized for their bodies, with strong scales and tough hides, so they knew just how to make Ezatana's place in the village. Having witnessed the event, Ezatana knew what was to come, so she trained for a week straight as the rest of the village prepared her outfit. By the week's end, she set out, newly forged, massive, yet crude blade slung over her shoulder, donning a large, stitched leather outfit, she determinedly set out, her goal simple. Seek out and slay the beast for the village, or perish trying.

The search was long and arduous, but she eventually found the monster walking on a shore, it's head poked into an abandoned boat that had been washed ashore, no doubt searching for more food. As large as she was, the beast was even bigger, and a battle ensued. Ezatana taking the opportunity to charge, the beast detected her presence, and turned as if to defend it's claim. The resulting battle was long, and hard, with both parties receiving significant injuries. But over time, Ezatana's blade proved better at crushing bones than slicing through it's scales as she managed to thoroughly shatter one of it's leg bones, knock it over, and finish it with a series of savage strikes at it's torso.

Victorious, Ezatana found her experiencing a feeling of euphoria unlike any other, the thrill of going toe to toe with such a dangerous beast, and managing to slay it for the sake of her village. Even as she dragged it's carcass back home, she found herself wondering about the life of a hunter. After returning with her bounty, the village threw a small festival in her honor. With the monster, they adorned Ezatana's home with it's skull, decorated their ships with it's scales, carved two feasts worth of meat from it, and traded the rest of it's surprisingly valuable parts with traveling merchants. The next week, however, Ezatana came to a decision, and announced the village that she was taking her leave to dedicate herself to hunting such beasts, there's no doubt that many kinds of large monsters were terrorizing other settlements, and after taking time to prepare, gathering food, supplies, and reinforcing her blade, she set off for the hunt.

Years pass, as she traveled the lands, slaying massive monsters wherever they were causing trouble. Growing more experienced in combat with the feral beasts, and eventually making a name for herself in the land's hunting organizations, if her staggering size didn't already! Eventually signing up with one of them, she used their services, and her funds acquired through rewards for her hunts to have many kinds of customized weapons and armor crafted for herself, usually adorned or reinforced with parts of the many creatures she had slain. Rising through the ranks of the guilds, she eventually reached her peak, having done battle with deadly poison-taloned wyverns, massive earth-dwelling brutes, imposing magma-dwelling leviathans, and many, many others. But eventually, she found herself slaying and capturing the same old species, which fight the same old battles, terrorizing the same old areas, same old, same old. That euphoric feeling of victory after an intense battle had left her long ago, and thanks to her size, she was loaded with job after job, so much that many other teams of hunters were complaining about the lack of work for them.

Eventually, she just had it, and decided to retire. Hanging up her weapons for good, she donned a lightweight (For her) outfit made of reinforced, yet oddly skimpy leather, and set out to explore the world.

In short, Ezatana is a twenty-foot tall retired huntress meant for both serious, or lighthearted scenes. Her disposition typically leans on cheerful and friendly, but she has a tendency to be impulsive as well. Anything else, you'll have to get from her! Oh, right, she also has a tendency to swallow people whole, but really, around these parts you really should expect that already.
