Eve (Vollfied) is one of the principal characters of the manga series Black Cat by Kentaro Yabuki. It was published in the popular manga magazine Shonen Jump and ran for about twenty volumes. The reason why I gave her the last name is because she's pretty close to Sven Vollfied (another principal character), and given their age differences, it made sense to see her as a surrogate daughter. That, and Eve is kind of a common name, so I wanted to make her distinctive from any other Eve on Eka's Portal here.
Eve's style tends to be a mix of classic femininity and gothic lolita. She often wears dresses, bows, and boots. Her preferred color of clothing is black. In the manga, her style transforms from a plain black dress and shoes to more elaborate clothing. What you see in the picture is just one of many outfits she wears throughout the course of the manga, nevermind the wings (for the time being).
As a genetically modified clone, Eve has a robotic and straightforward personality. Originally accustomed to doing what others instruct her to, she becomes very focused when there's a good bounty. She's also competitive with Train, wishing to replace him as Sven's partner in the manga and generally wanting to be better than him in the anime. Since Eve was raised in a sterile, closed off environment, she is initially extremely innocent and naive. In both anime and manga, she has no idea what ice cream is until Sven introduces her to the sweet treat. After joining Train and Sven, Eve becomes very interested in the world around her. With an inquisitive mind, she becomes highly knowledgeable and enjoys reading books. She also likes to observe others to learn more about them. Her favourite book is "Heart-Pounding Survival" (Maroon Library). The anime suggests she has a crush on Sven.
With nanomachines in her body, Eve is capable of manipulating them into shifting her body into a variety of forms, usually weapons with which she delivers crushing blows (for her size). At first, she was limited to parts of her body, though with enough practice, she was able to transform her entire body, although this puts an enormous amount of strain on her. Generally, her arms turn into blades, hammers, and shields. She can turn her hair into fists, hammers and steel-cutting microblades. She's capable of sprouting wings to fly and shoot out feathers as projectiles, and on top of all that, she can even turn into a mermaid! Quite the capable little lady.
A fancharacter from the (hive)mind of ZergAlts, and one of my personal favorite female characters in manga history! Though, I do wish she were older in canon. x.x
