Etchy
Name: Serin "etchy" Medellin
Species: Human Witch
Occupation: Book Thief and Student
Serin "Etchy" Medellin was never a socially skilled young lady. A lack of confidence and an over abundance of insecurities left her too shy to make any lasting friendships throughout highschool. Instead of learning social graces or communication skills, her time was devoted to academics.
If quizzes and homework were any indication, the young lass was brilliant. So much time did she spend agonizing over her homework that she never missed a mark. Without a doubt she learned more than your average student from her studies, what with the fervor she went after them with.
But she had no friends. All she had were her books. To everyone else, she was the odd girl.
The girl in the corner of the room blushing over something a prince was professing to a princess. The girl halfway up a tree drooling over an innocent interaction between a damsel and her savior. The girl walking home alone late at night, without companion or light. Somehow not stumbling despite the book up to her nose while walking. Reading about vampires she wished were about.
It was too much pleasure to lose herself in the fantasy of make believe worlds when her own reality was so unpleasant. She could escape from the dull tedium of an uneventful life by immersing herself in the worlds of her choosing.
The internet became another such world. Online in various chat-rooms and message-boards people only recognized her screen name “Etchy”. She could spend hours a day playing video games or role playing as a beautiful and successful creature. One who wasn't awkward or weak. Someone with a life full of adventure and intrigue.
Her own life became much more purposeful on the glum day that she realized no hero was going to swoop in and save her, no vampire was going to sneak into her bedroom, and she definitely wasn't going to be invited to a school for wizardry.
So why shouldn't she take matters into her own hands? Most of those damsels in her stories are bad role models anyways. Serin spent the next few years teaching herself what no plot-device would. With the entire internet at her disposal, and incalculable free time, she taught herself magic.
Of a sort. She can't throw a fireball or heal wounds. In fact, her 'magic' is entirely wrapped around her books. Etchy indeed only has knowledge of a single spell- luckily one with limitless potential. She has perfected the very strange ability of planting herself and others inside of a story.
At first it was mind boggling. She didn't get any sleep for almost a week, spending every waking minute instead opening up every one of her favorite books. She could send her soul between the pages, and live out the story as if it was some sort of virtual reality. It was better than a movie, and greater than a video game. She could literally involve herself in the tale.
Then she began writing her own stories.

Serin has written a few papers, submitted a couple articles to a renowned publication or two; and apparently they were well received. A few respected foundations have been since shoving grants and scholarships into her lap, and Etchy considers herself now a full time student. Of what exactly she isn't sure- but as long as she continues passing college classes, amassing credits, and vaguely aiming herself towards a lofty degree then money keeps coming at her. Enough for classes, books, rent, and a surprising amount left over for discretionary income as well.
So in her free time she is expanding her already impressive library. When she isn't reading or writing, she is wandering towards a library or book shop. Perusing their shelves and either buying or just walking out with what she finds. Rescuing them, she says. The lonely girl has grown so close to the characters in her stories that she tends to forget that they do not actually exist- and it breaks her heart to find a book full of wonderful people alone and unread on a shelf.
Nowadays she can usually be found strolling down a sidewalk or a park path with a heavy bag slung over her shoulder rustling with papers, pens, and bookmarked novels. Eagerly and heroically making a quest for whatever warehouse of stories is in her area so she can be champion of the unread words inside. It's her duty to read and experience them all.
tl;dr ~
Serin, a nerdy girl in college, does nothing but read books and write stories. She has the amazing ability to imagine herself (and others!) into the worlds of her novels. Not that she has shared this ability with anyone else yet; she's hopelessly awkward and shy around others. Much safer for her to lurk in a corner and dream herself away as a princess into a fairy tale.
OoC ~
Player is not nearly so shy as the character. Please don't hesitate to whisper or PUB; if I'm online I'm happy to hear from people. I don't bite unless you're a friend!
Story driven and character development sort of interactions are often the preference. But beneath her hesitant exterior, Etchy has fantasies just like any other woman. In the real world she's easily persuaded, tricked, or taken advantage of. In her fantasies however, she often plays the role of goddess, queen, super hero, or rampaging giantess.
I'm myself very flexible with what I enjoy to do; a romantic and cuddly scene one day might be enjoyable, then a bloody rip and tear of violent humiliation the next. Otherwise I enjoy all manner of vore of course- especially oral and cock. Sizeplay scenes are favorites, modern romantic encounters are lovely, footplay is hearted, cuddles are adored, and new friends are eager awaited.
