ADMINISTRATION (TRF. SURVEY)
Initially assigned to the Survey Corps, Emily "Red" Schuyler (so-nicknamed for obvious reasons) quickly made a place for herself among the exclusive upper ranks of celebrity Scouts. Fiercely loyal, frighteningly clever, and able to end most fights with a single well-placed hit, she attracted an elite party of expert adventurers for whom, under her leadership, no challenge was too great. Together they were deadly, slaying legendary monsters and clearing whole regions with such efficiency the Guild briefly considered turning "Red's Riders" into its own Corps.
The larger her unit grew, the less Emily herself needed to venture into the field. Her brilliant tactical mind took just as well to operations: she could kill more monsters from behind a desk than one ever could with a sword, and while she still made a point of joining her teams on the ground whenever possible, she found the thrill of combat increasingly less interesting than the challenges of command.
So when the Guild offered her a promotion and a spot at the Marunomia Adventure Academy's Command & Staff College – contingent on transfer to the Administrative Corps – Emily took the job. After graduating, she took command of Guild operations in one of Marunomia's most deadly regions and implemented broad-reaching reforms echoing those she'd perfected with her Riders; soon, she launched one of the most effective counter-monster offensives in Guild history, securing her legend status.
Still, they say "once a Scout, always a Scout," and while a Survey Corps pin no longer sparkled on her lapel, she never let her armor get dusty. One couldn't lead properly from back in the capital, after all – and so she was notorious among her staff for placing her field HQ alarmingly close to the front. Sometimes, despite her colleagues' pleas, she even insisted on joining adventurer parties herself. It was a leadership style that inspired ferocious devotion: many would have gladly died for her, and plenty did.
But though she had an invincible aura, a high rank made her no less mortal...
Technically talented and brilliantly clever. During her "pop-up target" test, she leapt past the dummies themselves and jammed her mace into the pop-up mechanism.
What's more, this girl is a born leader. Every applicant in her test group managed higher scores just for being around her. Keep an eye on this one: one day she'll be writing our reports.
