Elaca

Elaca is a hard working neon goby mermaid. While not the most glamorous of work; scrubbing down fish, eating dead skin and scales, and plucking off parasites to make clients as clean as they can be, she takes extreme pride in it. A clean population of fish, means an overall cleaner feeling reef home after all. Her work primarily consisting of nibbling off undesirable peices off her visitors. Though she has crafted a few tools to help with the task as well. Particularly a few simple stone knives to be used as toothpicks and tweezers for harder to nibble things. However her unusual specialty is hair. Having grown to become quite fond of her own, and with very little other cleaners tending to such. Though it's not very often she receives mammalian visitors, she keeps a selection of combs and brushes to help her run through hair as she carefully cleans and massages the skin beneath. As and equally odd coincidence it's been discovered that the mucus she produces is a fairly good conditioner when she spends enough time tending to her mammalian clientele.

She currently shares a cleaning station with a fellow cleaner, Wrachel. Though the two will work independently, it's just much easier to work together to tend to visitors. Elaca also just enjoys the company as her species much prefers to work in pairs. While she does keep to her own home in a burrow below their station. Here she lives with a pet pistol shrimp that acts as her guard from any small intruders trying to get into her burrow. The burrow itself adorned with various colorful objects she accepts as tips from her visitors, primarily assorted beads and pebbles. Most of which she has fashioned into makeshift furnishings and decor. Most notable of which being a small vanity with a small mirror included, as well as a bed made of a large seashell she is able to comfortably curl up inside of. Most of her handmade tools kept hung along bits of string near the entrance, while handmade clothing and jewelry is kept in another set of storage shells that have been turned into chests and dressers.

Elaca is a fairly self conscious mermaid, and very much about keeping a healthy and beautiful outward appearance. Keeping herself up to high standards with adorned handcrafted jewelry and clothing as well as cleaning or brushing herself as often as possible whenever she is not busy cleaning others. Her passion however equally delves into her work, making her very thorough when it comes to making every visitor reach their peak beauty. Though often times this may lead to clients being forced to stay at her station for longer than intended, as she will outright tell others they are not yet clean or beautiful enough. Luckily for most, she has a different outlook upon beauty than simply covering oneself up with accessories. Her job is to make anyone who visits her shine with an aura of cleanliness and confidence. Even if it means insulting them a few times before she has finished.
