Ancient Egyptian civilization collapsed long ago... as you probably know if you've ever managed to stay awake in a world history class.
So what happened to the Egyptian gods and goddesses? Did they just bail? Nah. They're still around.
Amusingly enough, Ekibe isn't one of them. Ekibe's just a retainer for Amisi. See the little jackaly-girl there? That's Amisi. She's the goddess. She's around, sure, but she's lazy and quiet and makes Ekibe do everything!
And where do they live now? Well, Egyptian treasures are worth a lot, but only to the right people. So for now, they're living in the suburbs in a house Amisi made Ekibe build. Granted, with her powers it didn't take long, but still! Amisi's a horrid little slave driver.
Oh, and Baket is somewhere around there, too. Dunno what he's up to!
