A manifestation of the enigmatic darkness surrounding Gensokyo and the mysteries of what it truly is to the minds of humans on the outside world. The darkness took the shape of an earth rabbit and, upon it's creation, claimed to hold the truth on these 'mysteries' that shroud Gensokyo and what it is truly like. These words were revealed to be along the lines of; "There is more than one Gensokyo" and that what these worlds contain are relevant to those who think of them. In short it means that, for every person who dreams of Gensokyo and what it holds is free to shape it to their liking. The landscape, people, creatures, all can be shaped by their imagination and, from this entity's standpoint, it is her duty to bring them into fruition. Her true powers, by and large, are those that revolve around the manipulation of one's imagination, mostly in terms of bringing whatever someone believes into reality. A wish granter? Perhaps. A god? Maybe. Whatever you think or believe, she can craft. What creatures and thoughts that walk in your mind, she can make live. Interestingly enough, she can not manipulate her own imagination or mind, so whatever powers she uses are a direct result of her using the mind(s) of others as a medium. The flow of thoughts and beliefs are drawn to her like a whirlpool and she uses this whirlpool to her advantage to conjure many things into existence.
As stated before, Ebony Tei's power allows her to bring what the imagination gives birth to into the reality around her and others, and while this can be practically anything and can be shaped even how she desires, there is a 'default' form this can take, usually in the form of a black, shadowy substance that may waft in the atmosphere whenever this black rabbit is about. This is in fact the base form of what Ebony Tei uses to create the manifestations of one's imagination.
However, take warning...there
may be some evil in this entity that claims to be no harm. Her smile could be a facade, a mask, to something far more sinister and foreboding that few can comprehend. Take heed in her origins of the unknown and remain vigilant when she is about...
