Created in a bio weapons laboratory the 'Ebony ooze' was supposed to be a programmable plague that would infect and slowly degenerate the entire population of enemies, while leaving anyone alive that was not a programmed target. The design implemented elements of a 'smart virus' that could lay dormant within the bloodstream or completely posses an infected individual to further it's infiltration into places where it could cause the highest amount of damage possible. Problems began to arise early in development as the substance the team worked on would rather stay whole as a thick glob than actually spread and infect things, it became a strange rubbery blob instead of a free flowing infectious weapon and was deemed a failure. After only seven years in development the call to terminate the project was made. However when the procedure to destroy the experiment was carried out, they found the black glossy blob was more or less indestructible and seemingly adapted quickly to anything that did at first damage it, so the call for containment was decided instead until further study of it's application could be made.
A research team eventually was assigned to develop some sort of practical application for the blob of glossy black gunk, it was malleable so an idea to turn it into some sort of armor or body suit seemed to be the logical choice. But the people who held more authority over the project decided it was simply too much of a risk, they did not know enough about what they had created to even consider changing it into something a live human would wear. After all, who can predict what a living creature can do with 100% accuracy, especially a glossy black blob that gave no indication if it could even think. The head researcher was so sure about her ideas for the substance that she took matters into her own hands, she molded the Glossy black material into a suit and was surprised that it held it's shape, without a test subject or the go ahead for human trials. The Researcher used her own body as the trial and stepped into the hollowed out rubbery blob, slowly she pulled it up over her naked body and the stuff clung to her skin. At first only like a form fitting suit, then it adjusted to the contours and shapes of her body becoming skin tight so tight it was almost like a second layer of skin on her body.

The woman wore the suit under her clothes for several hours and then tried to take it off, it was a struggle to remove the suit as it clung to her with a strong suction and adhesive stickiness, but she managed to get it off and the glossy black substance returned to it's ball blob shape. When it came time for her to try and wear the suit again a strange thing happened, as she went to go and mold it back into a suit shape the mass simply flatted out into a puddle like shape surprising the scientist, it seemed like the glossy black blob wanted to be worn by her. She stepped into the middle and sure enough the substance slowly enfolded around her body and crept it's way upward clinging to her like a second skin once again. This went on in secret for several weeks and each time the scientist took the suit off she felt naked, even while wearing clothes, her body was becoming addicted to the suit and, to the sensations it gave her, that snug tightness it provided as it hugged her every curve seamlessly. While wearing the suit she felt indestructible almost like a super hero and the time had come, for the researcher to try wearing the suit for a full day, no matter the cost.
It is ironic how some events can turn out, this was the day when she really took things too far and was caught in her little project of self experimentation and right when she was being called in to be detained, well something happened in the bio-weapons lab. It seems that the military contract that had run the place came under new management, a decision was made to close the place down and once they had learned of a possible contaminant from a dangerous biological weapon, they felt it was best to just destroy everything instead of risk any possibility of something escaping or worse, infecting others and causing an epidemic. A squad of elite black op soldiers entered the lab and started to gun down and slaughter everyone within and set explosives to cleanse everything within. The scientist was one of the victims of the attack, being gunned down without any mercy, she lay there bleeding out, something strange happened. The glossy blob that covered her body like a suit began to stir, it began to pulse and ripple sensing that the woman was going to expire, it softened and became more fluid. Suddenly the mass bore into the woman's skin and invaded her circulatory system, she was far beyond being able to complain about the horrible pain as the glossy black mass spreads throughout her entire body. It replaced her blood, it invaded her organs and slowly replaced them, the black blob substance fused with the woman's entire form, both of them merging into a single being, that as when the woman that would come to call herself Ebony Rose was born, what stood up was a glossy black manikin looking woman. The scientist awoke into a new existence, reborn and no longer, human...

Rose found her existence strange, her senses sung with all new levels of depth and awareness, she could see details that she was not even aware of, her hearing could detect everything that was happening within the laboratory, her sense of smell able to detect so much, blood, gunpowder, the chemicals in some of the lab rooms. She heard someone coming and instinctively pressed up against the wall, her body shifted and changed, she was terrified as the solider walked past, kicking the dead bodies as they passed her, if she could still sweat then she would be sweating bullets. How they did not hear her heart beat as she held her breath was beyond her guess, but the solider checked a few more corpses and then left down another corridor. Rose looked at her arms examining them and utterly shocked as they had taken on the look of the wall itself, her entire body had changed to look exactly like the wall even her body had flattened out somewhat to blend in. As she returned to a more normal state the woman began to realize that something either terrifying or wonderful had happened to her. Taking care to not run into anyone else, the woman slinks off and using her new found power to escape the Lab before it's destruction.
Over the following year Rose discovered much about her new existence, she could change her shape at will and even melt into a blob or puddle of black Glossy latex, she could even re take her old features, color and all using a form of muscle memory. With some practice she was able to take on the forms of other people as well, her body found lots of ways to transform herself and reshape her body, she seemed to only be limited by her physical size. These new gifts came at a downside though, the changes to her body had converted everything to the same glossy black material of the blob, her organs are all glossy black rubber, her blood, nerves. Everything. For the energy it takes for her body to reshape itself and function it required a lot more energy than her old human body did, her appetite increased to ludicrous levels and buying food was bankrupting Rose. It was a happy accident or perhaps the best scientific discovery of her former career when she discovered that she could eat people, whole and alive.
The first person she ate was just some girl she found alone, Rose's body acted on instinct as she shoved the helpless girl head first directly into her stomach, the glossy material oozing over the kicking screaming woman until she was consumed entirely by her dark shiny body. Rose's entire body quivered in delight, she could feel the squirming woman deep within her stomach, it was the most intense and pleasurable feeling she had ever experience in both of her lives, it only got better from there. Her victim started to become more visible as Rose's flesh sealed around them contracting so tight it looked like the woman she had shoved into her body was sealed in a vac-bed, then her stomach began to digest the victim once they were completely restrained and utterly helpless. Rose couldn't hear her screams but, she could feel them as vibrations that reverberated through her entire being, from that one experience onward Rose was forever changed she just had to consume more people. Then Rose had an idea, a way to put her new abilities and appetite to work, she became an assassin for hire going by the name Ebony Rose. It took the trouble at having to decide who she should consume and it made her a ton of money, it was a win/win situation as far as she was concerned. Rose's calling card is that she would deliver the bones of her victim at her client's request to them as those are the only things her body will not digest, other victim's bones just get discarded into back alleys or dumpsters. She is making a killing out there, both figuratively and in actuality.
