Dyana comes from a mixed heritage, with her mother, Elena, being a centauress and her father being an elvish prince named Mermon. Dyana was raised amongst her mother's people and was lauded for her beauty. She is one of the fastest centaurs ever known, and the story of her birth is something of a legend. It goes that her mother was in a frightful panic as she went into labor, since Dyana was her first foal. As the pain in her abdomen grew she took off at a full gallop and no one could catch up to her. She birthed out Dyana without even slowing down, so the babe was literally born running. And according to the stories, not only did she not stumble even once, she actually raced alongside her mother, until she had managed to soothe and calm her.

Being the daughter of an elvish prince, many of Dyana's friends teasingly called her "Princess", but due to her mixed bloodlines she is not recognized as part of the royal family. (Elves can be such pricks!) But her father was a good man and was a constant presence in her childhood. He helped her to develop her innate but modest magical skills. She may never be a master spellcaster, but she does have some tricks up her sleeve. She does harbor some resentment against her father's people for never embracing her as family, but she tries not to let it weigh on her mind much.

Dyana's village was rather remote, surrounded by an ancient forest that few humans ever managed to navigate. But one day as Dyana galloped along the wooded trail she heard a new sound and looked up to see something which bewildered her. It was in fact a remote-controlled drone. As it sped off through the air, Dyana took off in pursuit, eager to know more about this bizarre bird which buzzed like a bee. Eventually she found herself further from her home than she'd ever gone before, and there on the horizon was an all-new sight: a human city. She was awestruck by the sheer size of it, the skyscrapers which touched the clouds. She had to get up close.

Thus began Dyana's adventures in the world of humans. She still makes her home in the village she grew up in but she makes many trips to the human city. The people there do gawk and stare a lot, but she's gotten used to that. She used to trot about fully naked, as was her custom at home, but she now wears modified human clothes to try to better fit in. She has made many good friends who are always happy to see her.


Dyana stands at 7'8" from hoof to head. She is lacking in upper body strength, but her legs are incrediby mighty. As previously mentioned she is incredbily fast, able to reach a maximum speed of about 65 mph for a short burst, while her prolonged average speed is about 40 mph. Those legs also serve her well in self-defense, as they can shatter bones if she were to kick someone with full force. That being said, she is generally very gentle around others unless provoked. She has a sunny disposition, is inately curious and playful. She loves the outdoors, of course. There are few things that she loves more than running and hiking, though she has taken a liking to the human games of soccer and football. She is genuinely impressed by humanity's capacity for creation, as their ability to engineer breathtaking structures and invent ingenious devices far outpaces that of centaur-kind. But privately, Dyana can't help but laugh at how inferior humans are on a physical level. No wonder they had to invent cars! Walking around on two feet is hilariously slow!

She usually won't mind letting friends ride on her back, though she won't wear a saddle. She would only ever make that exception if she had a bipedal life partner who wished for it. For anyone else it would be terribly disrespectful, and would imply that Dyana was their slave. Dyana is currently single, and she is okay with that. She is sexually active, even across species. She is pansexual but has a preference for women. She herself is a hermaphrodite, meaning that she does have both male and female genitalia. Canon Interactions

One of the first humans that Dyana met was Kathryn_. Dyana could tell that the veterinarian was really into her, so she just sat back and let her confess to how badly she wanted to be enslaved by the centaur. Dyana was more than happy to grant that wish for her, and has turned her into her body pet. She lets her out to play now and again, but keeps her stuffed away inside of her most of the time.
