"We work for the Mother, and the Mother works for us."
The little bee-girls that roam this city-sized utopia of a hive would often claim that this was their sole truth. Their accents ranged from soft to heavy (and almost comically stereotypical) Russian, which depending on the subject in question would either add to their adorable nature or reflect the sexual appeal brought on by the one they simply refer to as 'The Mother'. Each bee in the colony has four arms, two legs, and is adorned with the appropriate fur, antennae, stinger, and wings expected of a bee-girl. The group also tends to wear yellow, bikini-like tops, 'skirts' that coordinate with their fur, and black 'sleeves' and stockings that are also adorned with a similar fur.
The majority of them are blondes and brunettes, reflecting upon their queen's (that is, 'The Mother's') dirtyblonde hair color. Each has brown eyes as well. Speaking of, like a normal hive, they have two functions: making honey to feed the younglings and serving their Queen. Fortunately, there's a plentiful supply of plants around for the prior task to be completed in the conventional way, though like many societies it is a matter of achieving the excess. So, occasionally, a squad of collectors will find some poor, innocent bystander and use them to produce honey in one (if not both) of two ways. The first is a simple process of 'pollination' in which the bees simply have their way with whatever poor sap they find until his reserves are nice and dried up. The second, in the event they find a female or finally exhaust the first option, is to simply intake the victim in some form or fashion before turning their being into honey, themselves. This can often be achieved through unbirth.
In the event that one satisfies a squad, however, or in the event that the Queen herself decrees that she needs to mate, there's the possibility that one may receive an audience with her... Though the likelihood of survival at this point is nullified. The Mother has quite the appetite, as do her guardian drones.
Indeed, these girls have stingers, and they function as most bees do, with each dying after use of the stinger with the exception of the Queen, whom can survive stinging victims multiple times.
A quick footnote, since this seems to be a common misconception: the drones stand at about three-foot-five to five feet whereas The Mother stands at roughly eight. They aren't LITTLE bee girls.
