But if you want to make it perma for the sake of risk I won't stop you :P)
Basically, a box that MAY fulfil a wish of yours, but will PROBABLY just add you to its collection of meals.
It's a simple thing. Say an object you want to own, a number from 1-6 and throw a dice. If the number is the one you want, congratulations! If the number is the one before or after the wished one (6 connects to 1) nothing happens. Now, should your dice land on one of those dead numbers, and you are going to find yourself being gulped into the box!

Example of the system: Wished number - 5
5 - Gives you the object
4,6 - Gives you the right to go, basically, nothing happens
1,2,3 - GULP

Myrak - This Eevee wandered into a forest and found the chest, it was his lucky day, he got an evolution amulet instead of a trip to its stomach.

Tissel_Mouse - Wanted an armour, got none, but didn't get eaten either
Miles_King - He got the chest, but didn't trigger either the trap or the prise

Cub - He just wanted some cookies, ended up eaten like one instead.
Swampy - Wanted an amulet to stop her from transforming, the chest found a better way to stop it.
Lizzy_Mouse - Wanted a chemistry set, but ended up falling right into a trap and eaten.
Maria_Herrera - The girl thought she had found her desired swimsuit, all she found was a quick way into a stomach.
