Dr. K Zirkon, a scientist of another time...of another world...maybe even another dimension.
She was originally a woman trying to help the scientific community go where there was 'nothing'...in a world where the lead scientists were always correct. She was thrown out...or rather shot off world on a spacecraft with no clear destination. Just that it was some probably vacant planet off in the distance that she would die on and they wouldn't need to worry about her undermining their leadership. As it turned out...this uncharted world...was Earth.
Though along the year long journey (Highly advanced craft...she was actually light years upon light years out)....she encountered a star...and alarms began to blast on the ship. She feared for her life...but after her passing the star...she eased.
Until she looked in her mirror...instead of normal blue eyes and regular leopard skin...the speed she was at combined with the brief radiation, had made her into a white leopardess with glowing green eyes. Oddly...she felt as though her body couldn't even hold her...and much to her shock...when she went to open the door out of the restroom...she phased through the knob. She stared at her hand in the metal awhile, then simply shrugged and pulled back...thinking...before moving forward again and grasping the handle normally...using her own theories to control her body...or what was left of it. The theories that no one listened to...
Eventually, she landed on Earth...expecting to die at the speed she was at...but the atmosphere somehow slowed her...and her craft's retros kicked in as well. Meaning the worst that happened was her craft skipping on an ocean a few times...then landing on the yellow sanded beaches of California. Of course...she met mixed response...men with guns, which she didn't fear...and a greeting party, which she met with a saber toothed smile and a gentle hug. The military men were tense at first...but eventually relaxed as well. Then sure enough...she was accepted...and even allowed to help out NASA.
Though...her memories of her final days at home...still give her nightmares...
