Detective_Brier

Whenever there is law there will be those who see themselves above it out to break and do as they wish either because they don't care about the law, they feel it doesn't apply to them, or are just in a desperate situation and they don't know what else to do. There are all kinds in this world but the rules are in place for a reason one cannot make exceptions just cause someone had a sympathetic reason. There must be no bias. But there are times when a case is too tough, it seems it can't be solved, they just can't catch the perp or maybe they are too close to the case. That's when they call in one of their bests.

Detective Brier Ives. Ever since she was little she had a keen eye and unbelievable puzzle solving skills should a culprit leave anything out of order she'll find it and put the pieces together quicker then anyone. She is tough, calculating, knows her way around a gun and does not rest till the job is done and the perpatraitor is behind bars. She is an iron wall not swayed by sympathy but that does not make her any less sympathetic to those that committ crime out of desperation. She will level with them and tell them to serve their time and learn from this handing them numbers of those who will hire and aide convicts especially with her reccomendation. She's a good judge of character though so only provides such a kindness if she can sense they truly feel regret over it. She has no mercy for those who do it just because they can and derive pleasure from the suffering of the weak.

Brier isn't all work and no play she enjoy's peaceful activities though, swimming, reading, the arts, she needs her peaceful moments givenher job is so stressful at times. She has put away and made many enemies after all best to forget plots of revenge once and awhile. In her spare time she writes about her escapades good and bad of her career.

Scene Ideas Cat and Mouse: Brier and a famed culprit have been trying to catch each other for years. She would interrupt their plans and they would get away but in turn they would set up traps to catch the meddling detective and she in turn would get away. Who will win in this little game they have going?

Revenge: Someone Brier put away has either been released or escapes from prison there first order of business is to pay a visit to the detective that put them away in prison in the first place.

Obsessive Criminal: Someone from Brier's past comes back people go missing with their calling card and have gotten good enough to where even she can't figure out their hide out. Soon they get a call telling them "the disappearences will stop if Detective Brier gives herself to me", of course the chief tries to form a trap but the criminal outsmarts them all and takes the Detective. She thinks they plan to kill her but have come to find they have become obsessed to have her all to themselves fate in their hands.

Officer down: Brier gets seriously injured in a case be it a close friend, a partner in the field, someone she reformed or even a foe sneaks into the hospital with the intention to heal her their own way.

Protective loved one: Parent, sibling, friend or even significant other start to worry about Brier's career choice where they feel its too dangerous but when she refuses to quit they take drastic measures.
