Desto

Destorarc was an orphan, set out in a small village in the depth of a large forest far distanced from any civilization, by a human woman who's name he never knew.
In the morning they found a humanoid in the basket and with it a letter, sadly damaged by the rain. Only a few words were readable; "Whoever --l raise this child... Please keep --- from anger until ---. --- name is Desto R--- . Sorry that I can't --- myself but my --- ends soon. Goodbye my darling your beloved ---. --- Arc"

So he was raised by average humans for many years and called Desto R. Arc by everyone in the village and learned how to defend, cook, cording and much more...
But one day his village was burnt down by thief, his fiends and those who he called family killed, their blood dripping down on his body when he was hiding under their corpses.
That was the moment where the demon inside him awoke, his skin turned black, his chest and belly grew red fur, his face changed and black feathered wings spread out of his back whilst a long tail grew. After that he felt on his knees, standing there as a feral hybrid of a cat, snake and bird. The spell that kept this true form hidden was now canceled and in rage he killed his foes before he flew away in the dark night.
When he woke up he found himself in a cage, hundreds of people around him who were excited to see this 'monster' Many years he was being the star turn in the local zoo until some masked people set him free and brought him in another land. A land where he could live with other 'mutants'. In this place he was found once again and was changed into a anthromorphic hybrid, able to talk and civilized like a normal person.

He started a new live as Destorarc and became a mercenary over which time the hybrid found out what he was capable of; creating flames from the power of his soul, morphing, teleporting and telepathy. Hundreds years past him and he barely seemed to age whilst friends died, kingdoms felt and the times changed.
One day he even found his love with the name Val, a beautiful husky with the ability to regenerate and he gave her everything he could to make her happy even a part of his soul...

Only 4 years after they became a couple she was getting greedy and wanted more power. With the help of his soul shard she summoned a demi god, became one with it and wanted to rip the demon out of Destorarc which would mean his death. In order to safe her and separate her from the demi god he made a contract to learn a technique which could manage it but he came to late. Insane by the power she ripped out his wings, abandoned everything he was seeing in her and so he used the attack to safe her but...

He opened his eyes, nearly everything of his strength and abilities were gone, his wings not regrowing where two familiar shaped scars painted hos back now.
Val died in his arms the very same morning the fight came to an end, his hope, dreams and self- efficacy gone.

It took him ages to find himself again but he never could build up the same strength he had back there no matter how much he trained, tho he found out that he was able to control his blood.
Now after all this time he build his life up once more, found new friends, a place to live, became a servant of the shinigami Destinas and looked into a brighter future.
