Derek Lupus is a young wolf in the throes of puberty (the age can vary depending on the comfort level of the other player), which leaves him largely awkward and struggling to understand his body.

Personality
Puberty is a difficult time in a young man's life. Not only do you have all the attendant body issues but you also start thinking about girls a whole new way. But for anthros, it's not so simple, because it's also the time when all the predatory urges start kicking in. Derek isn't taking any of this particularly well, and as such spends most of his time uncomfortable, confused, and subservient to urges he doesn't entirely understand.

As such, he's finding the relationships around him to be constantly redefined. Girls he was once close with now make him feel extremely uncomfortable. Women on the streets arouse strange thoughts. And he can feel control of all this slipping away from him, as his biology plants strange and alien thoughts both up and downstairs.

Re: The Age Issue
The initial writing of this profile gave Derek's age as thirteen. This has made a lot of people uncomfortable and been widely regarded as a bad move.

Understand that the point of this profile isn't to fetishize the underage so much as it is to create a time and place in a Nexus citizen's life where he might be going through the experiences I want to play out for Derek. Since the actual age is almost immaterial to this, and some people get certain urges later than others, I am perfectly willing to leave the age to the discretion of the player, in order to create a more comfortable experience for all.

Setting
You could probably transplant Derek into any setting and a scene would work, though he was created with a suburban setting in mind, and as such school yards, parks, or even just houses are probably optimal.

That said, if you want to transplant him into any other world, be it medieval fantasy or the world of tomorrow, go nuts. Generally speaking, though, the player prefers the settings to be ones where predation has no legal repercussions or consequences, and completely free of humans and reformation.

Canon
There is none. You can make up some if you like. But the official policy of the player is that none of these scenes are in any way interconnected, and you probably shouldn't worry about that.



Sliders vary wildly between my characters. If this one doesn't suit your needs, odds are another will.
