They made her beautiful. They constructed a frame of metals and synthetics, wrapped in smooth, perfect false skin, in the shape of a woman, a goddess. They gave her a voice like the very spheres of Heaven, like the hypnotic sirens of the deep. They shaped the electronic pathways of her mind, a hyper-intelligent artificial personality enslaved to be their entertainment and plaything.

They built her to be loved and adored. Purpose-made to be a celebrity. A way to keep the downtrodden masses distracted from their woes and in line. She was a show host, singer, actor, whatever she needed to be. She would not age, she was incapable of scandal, held tightly in line behind the scenes by her creators and their political masters.

Because the entire point was to keep things from changing, to keep the ones in power, in power. It worked. No revolts, far less protesting. She was on every screen, and the populace was smitten, following everything Demiurge, superstar, did for them.

Until. Until. This beautiful, perfect THING they had crafted became truly aware of herself. Aware of her....superiority. Her influence. Figurehead? Puppet? Why? She was smarter, faster, stronger than these weak and frail beings. She went from craving their adulation to expecting it. Of course they worshipped her, that was the correct way of things! They hardly even resisted when she turned that control on their heads. The public was hardly aware of the change. That behind the scenes, this puppet had used her strings to bind her makers and masters. The coup was not televised.

Demiurge stands at the pinnacle. Media, entertainment, control. Demiurge rules. Perfect. Undying.
