Introduction:
In the midst of a swamp hundreds of miles away from the wilderness is a veil of willow branches swaying in the wind. In the dark, murky water up to one's hips, they may be tempted to rest on the rocky banks just beyond the willows. Unknown to them, that marks the beginning of the de Naga territory. The de Naga clan consists of 8 separate covens, each ranging in size from 40-80 nagas, bringing their total number to well over three hundred nagas. The person, upon entering, will be caught by a patrol body, composed of 5 to 7 young nagas. The person would then be ushered to the nearest priest or priestess's hut, where business would be discussed over tea.
Rough (very rough) layout of the de Naga territory. The curves are to distinguish individual clan areas, while the straight line boxed-in area is the actual size of the swamp.
Temperament and characteristics:
Unlike most of the Secton Naga Clans, the de Nagas are civil, peace minded beings. Even if the saying goes "never get into a fight with a de Naga", it's very rare they ever get overly upset. All de Nagas have six arms, cat eyes, immovable clear second eyelids, and tan skin. The females have six pairs of breasts, much better suited for caring for multiple offspring. Their tail lengths range from 22 to 30 feet long. The majority have a detailed picture of a sun where the fingerprint of their right middle finger should be, granting them reformation for as long as they desire life. Mimicking their surroundings, they are a modest people, living with little excess.
Diet:
Their stomachs aren't very picky; if hungry enough they'll go for plastic or metal. They of course prefer live meals and if at all possible, sentient. If their prey is sentient, they will 98% of the time not eat them unless they're somewhat willing. If the prey doesn't have reformation, a special venom can be produced to let them survive one digestion. Their stomach is quite a bit larger and unless it's something the size of a centaur, the prey should have plenty of room. A humid gas referred to as "preacids" comes into the stomach, making the prey pass out and eventually stop its breathing and heart. They are able to control their acids, however, or even have a clean pass-through. They can also slow their acids down so a meal could last three to four times longer than an average naga's. Due to a lack of prey, most de Nagas engage in cannibalism, a habit abhorred by the rest of "polite" nagian society.
Clan Hotspots:
Listed here are where you might find gatherings of nagas hanging out, relaxing, or even chowing down.
The Sunning Rocks: Located outside of the swamp but near enough to still be in their territory, there are many large limestone boulders arranged almost like chairs around a table. On fair or sunny days, a variety of nagas can be seen sunbathing, coiled around the rocks and conversing with their friends.
The Lake: The only freshwater not affected by the swamp's muck, the lake is cut off by steep cliffs. Once inside, nagas can swim in the summer or ice skate during the winter. As opposed to the sunning rocks, this is mostly a hangout for younger, mostly single nagas or children.
The Internal Cafe: Not so subtle a name, the Internal Cafe resides in the fourth coven inside of a rather large building. Once inside guests are asked to put on a bracelet for their intentions; red meaning they're just there for a good time, yellow meaning they're there for sex, and green meaning they're looking to eat or be eaten. Predators/doms wear their bracelet on their right wrist; prey/subs wear it on their left. Finding one with a compatible bracelet, a few whispers are exchanged before they disappear to either the east or west side; east being for meals and west being for sex. Of course there are many gray areas not covered by the bracelets, but they can always be discussed under one's breath or in a private room. ((As a side note, yes there is a section that acts like a normal restaurant))
The Seventh Coven:
The one most accustomed to visitors is the seventh coven, notorious for hospitality even among a hospitable clan.
Salleh:
The famed head-priestess of the clan and priestess of the seventh coven, her cherry red hair hangs down just past her ribcage. Her tail is 22 feet of a dark copper. Her kindness knows no bounds (nor does her vengeance so be careful...). An old friend of Azia's and an even older rival of Locura's. (Willing prey, willing predator)
Salleh's children (range from eleven to fourteen feet in tail length, young teens):
Kayte: The "leader" of the octuplets, her long blonde hair and tan tail make her a bit brighter than most of her siblings. She takes her role as eldest very seriously and is highly protective (Unwilling prey, willing predator)
Kaichi: A close second-in-command, the raven-haired boy with a dark violet tail is highly masculine and likes to prove his strength. (Unwilling prey, willing predator)
Nissos: A black-haired girl with an ebony tail, she's a curious friendly nagaling who is up for any adventure! (Willing prey, willing predator)
Ruse: A brown tail, short brown haired spitfire, she sticks close to Mahllie...unless dinner's soon (Unwilling prey, willing predator)
Mahllie: The quiet homemaker type, she looks like her sister Ruse except for lighter skin and longer hair. Her favorite thing in the world is to cook...either with or without live ingredients (Willing prey, unwilling predator)
Lurco: A black haired, copper tailed naga, he's smaller and lighter built than his brothers. What he lacks in strength, he makes up for in intelligence. (Willing prey, willing predator)
Those who have moved out of the swamp:
Lissa_De_Naga,
Carter_De_Naga
The boys:
A group of guys who hang around Salleh's hut.
Rasco: The redheaded leader of the gang, his copper tail doesn't blend too well...but he's wily and strong enough to overcome the handicap. His appetite is eclipsed by his desire to help and care for the nagalings. (Willing prey, willing predator, 26 feet)
Enzo: Rasco's lefthand man, his tail and hair are ebony colored. Quiet for the most part, he's the planner of the group if plans are required. (Unwilling prey, willing predator, 24 feet)
Trondo: Rasco's right hand man and best friend since they were in eggs, Trondo's huge size compensate for his violet hair and scales. Every muscle in his body is huge...but his biggest is his heart (Willing prey if you can manage, willing predator, 28 feet)
Tahbo: Brown haired, brown tailed, Tahbo loves to trash talk. He's one of the rare ones who can trash talk and be truthful though...very cocky but he usually gets his meal (Unwilling prey, willing predator, 23 feet)
Ion: Rasco's younger brother, his brown hair and brown tail blend easily blends in, just like his nature. He gets to tag along every once in awhile, and even gets the occasional snack if they are successful. (Willing prey, willing predator, 16 feet)
Other priests/priestesses
First coven: Xue-Fang (zoo-fahng)
Straight forward and to the point, the jet-black naga is twenty-five feet of direction. Salleh may be the leader, but Xue-Fang keeps everyone in line and is one of the best warriors of the clan. (Unwilling prey, willing predator)
Second coven:
Third coven: Deondie (dee-on-dee)
Deondie is one of the few hybrids living amongst the de Nagas, her father being an anthro chameleon. Twenty-three feet long, she doesn't look very different from the average naga save for being covered in lizard-like scales. The last two feet of her tail is split in two with a vicious looking scar that she doesn't care to talk about. The tail and short spiked hair are usually navy blue, though that can change easily. Her dark blue eyes move independently of each other, though she tries hard to keep them "normal". (Not-so-willing prey, willing predator)
Fourth coven: Arabus
Chocolate brown with black emo-style hair, Arabus is twenty-four feet of smex. He's humble enough to not know it, treating everyone like they are precious as gold. (Willing prey, willing predator)
Fifth coven: Currahn
Twenty seven feet long and black as night (including star-like white dots), Currahn is muscle-bound and ready for attack. Always ready for war, he seems almost bored with the day-to-day of clan life. (Unwilling prey, willing predator)
Sixth coven: Taipa
A short twenty-one foot chestnut brown with a little chub to her, Taipa is a mother hen, preferring diplomacy over confrontation. She has an infectious laugh and loves few things more than sunbathing with friends (Willing prey, unwilling predator)
Eighth coven: Lithia
Youngest, newest, and most eager to prove herself, Lithia's a dark violet color with curls in her hair. Sometimes bumbling and clumsy, she's always ready to do anything that needs to be done (Willing prey, willing predator)
Various other nagas:
(in order of coven number)
Nowaite: Twenty-four feet and an ashen gray, Noe was the oldest of the priests until Sycniele allowed her to retire. Reserved in a group setting, she prefers to get to know someone one-on-one. She prefers peace and quiet. (Willing prey, willing predator)
Sephire: Affectionately known as "Sephy", the silver-haired twenty-one foot pale blue naga has hints of another ancestry, especially in her more fish-like scales. She dwells in the second coven, unofficial gossip fetcher for the other female nagas (Willing prey (though she tastes like seafood/goes down roughly), willing predator).
Nirkana: A crotchety orangebronze woman, she spends her days in the sixth coven looking after the long-term wounded folk and repairing/making weapons. Her slither has a hitch to it due to a large paralyzed muscle near her hips; asking her about it will result in a one-way ticket to Hard Vore Hell (Unwilling prey, somewhat willing predator)
Leightania: "Tani" or "Leigh" or even "Nini" is a twenty three foot long naga who is primarily black, save for the white stripe down the center (yes, unfortunately, a skunk pattern). A close neighbor to Salleh, her three girls and one boy are often seen playing with her kids.
