Daya

Daya is a young veteran of the Union, a loose, secretive conglomerate of various religions joined under a common goal; promoting tolerance, compassion, and saving others; saving them from the wicked ways of the world, or even themselves. The Union has no overriding requirements or tenants; no one belief system dominates. All that is required is compassion for others, pure and simple.

The Union is called such because of a simple practice among their own in which members swallow and subsume one another, body and spirit, consentually, to emerge a more powerful being for the sake of furthering any positive goal, as well as an expression of love; this can be a temporary or permenant union. Conversely, this ability can be used to subsume those deemed dangerous or wicked, a measure in which the victim is forced to submit and become a living part of the consumer. Abuse of this ability, however, is considered a heinous offense.

Daya is a wandering member, a capable novice having been licensed to work in but a few short years. He seeks to aid and protect others every step of his wayward journey (and pick up a snack or two in the occasional villain.) He is, however, soft, tasty, and a little frail, so he's not immune to being overcome by the appetite of another.
