Backstory:
Daxos of Straangard Keep was born into a world ruled by a brutish King, snivelling nobles and cowardly soldiers who dared not voice their opinions about how the kingdom was run. Being born as a "freak", 'he' was immediately sent to the squallid poor district; wherein 'he' was picked up by a group of travelling entertainers who happened to be here on the day of the Kings' thirdborn son's birth. They took young Daxos with them, and raised 'him' as one of their own. Never knowing the parents of the misbegotten child, the faire folk raised 'him' both as a boy and a girl; giving 'him' the choice of how 'he' wanted to be viewed. It was quickly evident to the young child, who was given this choice upon reaching the age of 6; that being a boy was going to be far easier in life than it would to be a girl. He became a product of his enviroment, staunchly referring to 'himself' as a he and taking with him the name of the street where he was found by the nomads. He behaved like any dirty little boy would, playing in the mud and preferring fistfights to words when it came to solving problems with play mates. As he grew, his body underwent a few radical changes that made his life so much more difficult to bear..
It started when 'he' turned 12, the combined flow of two different groups of hormones that vied to sculpt his body into something between a man and a woman. He had always had soft features, but this was accented so much more when his lips became fuller and his eyes softened around the edges; matching his delicate cheekbones. He retained a fairly strong jaw, but did develop a small bust that he immediately and has ever since kept bandaged against his chest; so as too appear more masculine. His hands, always so soft despite his scrappy nature, remained fairly small; as did his feet. While his physique remained somewhat passably masculine, what happened to 'his' groin was a whole different story. He knew it was not normal for one person to have both sexual organs, but when it became apparent that they were both active; this posed a serious problem with his ability to maintain the masquerade of him being a boy. He was prone to vast swings of temper, made all the worse by the conflicting emotions he began to feel for his fellow playmates, both male and female alike. 'His' first few awkward sexual encounters ended predictably sadly, but it was not long before 'he' became quite adept at finding those who would view his particular 'talents' as pleasant. As a result, he grew very quiet about his personal opinions on matters that didn't pertain to the job at hand or his feelings towards other people, even his old friends who had become nearly alien to 'him'. 'He' became distant, almost cold to his friends; and as a result was not sorely missed when at age 15, never returned to the caravan when they stopped off in Straangard; the city of 'his' birth. From here, he managed to convince a blacksmith to sell him a sword; which he then practiced with for hours every day, inbetween doing small tasks and jobs for the locals who lived in the squallid slums. Several times, while living here in this poor area of town; thugs would approach the delicate looking swordsman with malicious intent.. But none were prepared for the sheer ferocity unleashed by the supposedly dainty fellow; and were quick to retreat and never again bother the outcasted newcomer. From here, he worked a few years before deciding to ply his hands as a mercenary in the world abroad.
Since that day, Daxos has traveled as far north as Luskan near Icewind Dale; all the way south to Calimsport by the South Seas. 'He' has taken up the cause of Doresain, King of Ghouls and Patron Saint of Cannibalism. This has infused 'him' with the clerical spell-like ability known as The Bite of the King; wherein the user can effectively swallow someone whole. This sends them to a fleshy pocket dimension that functions as the users' stomach. While usually found wandering the Sword Coast, 'he' has been hired to serve as an escort as far into the mainland of Toril as Cormyr. 'He' has slain scores of goblins and orcs, trolls, ogres, even a few wyrms and full fledged dragons in 'his' travels, and has proved to always be a shrewd fighter; despite usually working alone. Even today, one could easily hire the Knight-Errant for their own purposes, so long as they are clear about their intentions and did not seek to slight 'him'.
