Davern

Salis is a mischievous member of the Repentance Program. He was once a sellsword/master thief. His dexterity and speed are nearly legendary. However, he was caught during a heist gone wrong, and rather than be punished, they figured he'd be perfect for the program, now being regarded as one of the most successful cases, despite serving what equates to a near life sentence (near, but technically, he's immortal.)

While his duty is to protect the people, he suffers from a weakness: almost anyone he gets a taste of and likes said taste of, is marked almost immediately as food for him. He has become much of a glutton due to this, all thanks to his cat-like trait of licking in response to affection. This typically leads to his sentence getting extended of course, due to his weakness for tasty beings (not that he ever feels guilty, always blaming the prey for being delicious food). He hasn't been taken off the program however as while he does eat citizens often, his effectiveness and lowering the crime rate is too great to waste.

Due to his free time thanks to Immortality, he has recently started teaching himself magic. He wishes to become a possible stage magician at one point after his sentence. He has learned to reform beings, but only rarely does this. Anyone he does reform, he gives a mark and anyone he gives that mark to, he almost always claims as a pet of his. He can give one other mark, but he's chosen to reserve it for someone special, namely someone he can deem his master as the mark would share his immortality. It would also be a form of mating mark, which is why he typically does not do many sexual things with others. He secretly wishes for a master, though his requisites for being considered for it are unknown.

His silly, care-free personality and gluttonous ways have landed him the nickname "The Double-Edged Sellsword" due to his effectiveness, but tendency to go for the people he's protecting for food. His rebellious and wise-cracking attitude has also made it typically hard to find many jobs outside high-risk events. He constantly searches for beings he can antagonize so he can feel superior about his skills, though his desire for a loving master usually goes unfulfilled due to this. His favorite kinds of people are those who constantly keep reappearing (either through cloning or reforming) and shapeshifters as he wishes to learn from them their secrets (mostly so he can learn how to neutralize them and make them into a tasty meal).
