Charizard, for many they are the pinnacle of Poke-trainer achievement, only those with the determination and fire in their bellies can raise an adorable Charmander through to a rebellious Charmeleon and finnaly evolve and train the powerhouse that is a Charizard, it's not for the tame of heart, that's what Bulbasaur is for.
Charlotte didn't know this truth, and as such she struggled with her Charizard for a long time, and then he ate her... well she wasn't feeding him properly, in his haste he guzzled the young trainer down along with her team and her mega bracelet, swallowing that item had a very particular effect, he roared as his body was altered by the joining, all that was Charlotte was pulled inwards, into his own heart where the connection was strongest....he blacked out.
When he came to the Zard let out a gasp, he'd grown in size, now much bigger than your average fire starter, with clearly defined muscles on his arms and legs, last of all he found he was now capable of human speech. With these new found abilities the Charizard nicknamed Darius stole the last name from his tasty trainer and set out on his own in the world, able to overpower many predators thanks to his new found strength and ability to self induce mega evolution, this dragon is not one to be trifled with.
