Be careful when you fight the monsters, lest you become one
Kensei, Sword-Saint, Spell-sword
All well earned titles of Darius, the ages old elf who has studied under the tutelage of both master swordsmen, and dragon-mages. Darius Has adventured across the planes, fighting wars with goblins, orcs, devils, and dragons alike. His unique 'sword saint' style of combat was bestowed upon him by Adoy Sirron. A beautiful and deadly combination of swordplay and magic into one fluid dance, known as the 'way of the kensei'. With spells in one hand and a blade in the other, he is a master of unarmored combat.
Master Adoy Sirron, who was handed the teachings of Iaiujistu armorless swordplay from eastern warriors, and the ancient elven tradition of being a magus from Darius's father. Darius was sent to master adoy for his training, to become an elven champion.((looking for somone to play Adoy, can be female if a picture is provided))
In the early days of the world, when the primal forests still ran for miles and elves built cities in their canopies, and humans were just learning to plant seeds, the elves had a long held tradition of mixing wizardry and swordplay in their military. These masters were called Magus, or Magi plural. They delivered spells through their swords and learned how to strengthen their blades and awaken the potential within every weapon.
Meanwhile Leagues away Warriors of honor called samurai were defending early human kingdoms with their mastery of single weapons of their choosing. These eliete warriors counted as much on Intelligence as they did on agility and strength for avoiding and parrying blows, their keen study of swordplay giving them insights into avoiding incoming attacks.
Sent away at a young age to train with the Kensei, the ways of the sword saint is life to him. It has been a long time since he has fought in war, but he has not forgotten how to use any of his abilities, such as charging a fist to make it a weapon as dangerous as a blade.
When he returned to his home he was called to service in the military. He was forced to fight humans on the battlefeild, as they were enchroaching on his tribe's forest. He slaughtered countless men who were simply doing as they were told. The looks on their faces twisted in horror, or burnt clean off by gouts of elven fire magic. Even as he carved through them he heard his master's voice ringing, the importance of honor and valor, even in the war-torn hell that is a battlefeild. When the dust settled he looked around, these men in chainmail weilding spears with broken heads and pitchforks better suited for hay than flesh, they were not warriors. He would not slay them, not even for his family's honor. Darius deserted, leaving home to find a career as an adventurer.
One particular adventure took him deep into the pits of the crystalline caves. Him and his Ally, a Dragonknight sworn to defend the local farmers took on a hoard of vampires hiding from the sun. After besting them on the ground Darius and his partner found that a flying foe was far more dangerous.
With his weapon in hand Darius left to put his skills to use for the good of the world, not the glory of some battle over something as trivial as land. He Joined up with countless adventuring companies through his years, and found that as his skill and power grew, he stopped aging, even as an elf might age. He became one with the weave of magic. Witnessing empires rise and fall, and wars that only really accomplished the goal of suffering. He became ever more interested in worlds beyond his own. He developed a method to not just travel the planes, but rather, slip through to other dimensions, and paralell worlds, where he continues to explore, at his own, liesurely pace.
One of his misadventures on the astral plane. Dealings with these spiny psionic lizardfolk could have ended terribly if not for his quick thinking and use of his levitation spell he might have floated off endlessly through the voidlike space of this dimension.
In his near ancient age he has become something akin to a raggedy wanderer. Amused by the simple innocence in the universe many underestimate him untill they step across a line or hurt somone he holds dear. The consequences for such actions have lead to dark repercussions. He no longer has a home. His family took his desertion of the elven warfront as the fault of master Adoy and sent assasins to slay him in his sleep. Adoy escaped, but Darius was convinced of his death. In a fit of near-godly rage, he commited genocide, destroying every last mother, son, daughter, and father from his homeland. He has never returned, unwilling to face what he did, in the name of honor.
Dovahseeng, or dragonsong the blade he left his kingdom with, is both an intricate work of art, and a deadly weapon. With a Dagger hidden in the handle, a blade sharpened and honed by a master elven smith, and runes of varying kinds forged into it by the early dwarven allies of the elves, this is a tool for war. The design allows him to use his training in Iaiujitsu to its maximum effect.

Long Term Roleplay Ideas:
The time has come for Darius to face what he did to his family, some form of judgement is coming. (Multi-player, need allies and somone to play master adoy, and an antagonist)
Somone comes to play the Kensei who taught Darius, this is an ongoing roleplay with the two of them. The charachters gender and race can be up to the player.
His weapon becomes sentinet, either capable of turning into a person, or just appearing to darius in his own head.
