Daniel has no recollection to how he was created. All he remembers was waking up as a huge, gelatnous mass. He quickly found a template in the form of a young man, assuming his form to fit in. Over the next few years after his "birth", he learned to fit into society and developed a taste for human flesh while in any form other than his original. When he started encountering predators as well, he began developing his own methods, his favorite escaping the way he came since it didn't really harm the person, but if he needed to, he'd kill them from within by extending spikes, perferating their gut and killing them or asphyxiating them by blocking their mouth and nose so they couldn't breathe. Over the years, he's had many victims and friends, becoming an effecient predator, but it has been curbed recently by the presence of those he's come to care about.
