Appearance: Standing about at a height of 5’9”, a somewhat thin human stands before you. He's not really muscular, and only has a weight of 175 pounds. His skin is caucasian, and the hair that sits atop Dan’s head is the same color as his eyes: a dark brown. The hair is fairly wavy, and the man makes no attempt to tame it; he never cared much about his hair as long as it was there upon his head.

Usually, Dan is spotted while wearing a dark blue robe, stopping just above his ankles. Wrapped around the robe is a blood red cloak that usually flows freely behind the human. Danathius makes no effort to hide the longsword at his side, and despite him being a mage, Danathius’ sword has no special properties. The human wears a pair of thick, brown boots on his feet, and his hands are wrapped in black, leather gloves.

Biography: The human's life was a care-free one at his younger ages, free of the complexity wrought by adult-hood. He grew up in a simple, backwater village where people were kind, but close-minded, and where most conveniences offered by modern technology simply didn't exist. Nevertheless, the village -- which existed along a major trade route in the continent in which the boy lived -- thrived tremendously well, and the excess gold pieces brought prosperity to Khar. Despite that, however, magic had a negative stigma attached to it: that is why Danathius had to hide his gift, for he was brimming with magical talent. Before a great tragedy befell Khar, Danathius' mother -- an extremely talented mage -- taught the young lad how to utilize his talent to some degree.

One night, a fire raged through the entire village of Khar, killing its entire population, save for the young mageling. Danathius swore he saw that a dragon was responsible for the fire, but that was nearly impossible: dragons hadn't been seen in thousands of years, and they were thought to be extinct! Regardless, in the morning, amidst the smoldering remains of Khar, Danathius found both of his parents' lifeless bodies. He mourned their loss, but resolved to continue living, vowing to find some way to return them to life, so that he could live with them happily again. Searching the remains of the local blacksmith shop, Dan found a shortsword and a small buckler, and ventured into the foliage that surrounded his entire village. As he made his way north, the young Danathius was able to, barely, defend himself from the wild animals that populated the dense forest. Finally, after a few weeks of struggling, the mageling managed to make it to the capital city of the kingdom in which he resided. There, his aunt, the only known living relative he had left, was able to take him in and raise him.

As the boy grew, so did his affinity for magic. He studied hard, and practiced long with the encouragement of his aunt. He developed a control and mastery over magic that many adults could not attain, and would never be able to attain. He was the only individual to be allowed to join an elite order of mages early, all when he was only sixteen years old. The order funded his research while the mage furthered his own interests, delving into research about how to revive the dead. Of course, he did many other tasks, as well: with his magical prowess, he protected the innocent from certain evils as often as he could.

Many years have passed since then. Danathius had accomplished what he had set out to learn, but it took him on a grand adventure he had never thought possible. Just how long had passed? Well, as the man would say, that's a secret. He's had a long, long time to refine his skills with magic, however, and he's no push over when it comes to flinging spells. In fact, he usually toys with other spell casters when they challenge him, and he prefers to let them off of the hook rather than humiliate them at their own game. He has quite a chaotic personality -- he will help people when he feels the need to, and he will do so in a fashion that he deems neccessary. As a master of magic, he has many forms that he can take. Every once in a while, he does grow hungry for something a little more...exotic than prepared food, but that's another little secret of his.

NOTES OF INTEREST
(*)This character does not possess "voraphilia" as a fetish. Thus, when he is prey (more often than not), he is unwilling, and he is not arroused by the fact that he is going to be eaten alive. When he is predator, he is eating only because he is hungry, and in the mood for something that squirms on the way down. One fetish he does possess, however, is that for feet/footpaws/hindpaws.

(*)Danathius is dragon-blooded: his mother was actually a dragon in disguise. As a result, Danathius has inherited his mother's prowess with magic. Also, when he shifts form, it is easiest for him to assume the form of a large, black dragon with white scales running down the bottom-side of his neck, belly and tail.
