Personality:
Daimos is driven by emotion. When she feels an emotion, she runs with it, without thinking about the consequences. According to her, there is no such thing as being too sensitive, or overly emotional. She expects others to understand and be sensitive to her emotional needs, even when she’s moody. If someone isn’t in tune with her emotions, an angry Daimos will nag their ears off about it, until the person understands her agitation. She can harbor imaginary hurts and setbacks, because she is overly sensitive about her feelings.
While she is loyal to her loved ones, she can also be clingy. There are times when she feels the need to be around people to the point where she follows them everywhere (even the rest room). This can easily be annoying to some people and Daimos can understand, but she can’t help it. She wants to be there for everyone and make sure they are ok. She’s protective over them for the same reason, and will get aggressive when something she cares about is hurt (person, idea, property, etc). She is unforgiving with that aspect, and you will have to do more than bend over backwards to make it up to her. In most extreme cases, she will never forgive, and will probably dispose of you in the cruelest way at that moment.
When she’s hungry, she’s regretful that she must eat other fish, animals, and even people at times. She hopes that her prey doesn’t take it personally. She has to eat after all. However, when she does eat, she makes sure to not waste any part of her prey’s body. She views being wasteful as a insult to the sacrifice that the prey had to make for her. She usually reels the prey in with her singing. Sometimes while she sings, she cries during the song, because she can’t control how much she’s sorry for what she must do to the prey.
On the other hand, she can be suspicious of people and their motifs. She wants to make sure that there are no ulterior motives that would cause her, or her loved ones to get hurt. She must double check everything! Every single person she meets, she must be 100% sure she can trust them. The same goes for romantic relationships and sex.
In order for her to mate with anyone, Daimos must be emotionally connected to them. However, she has a low opinion on overly sexual males and females. To her, they only want sex, and are emotionally dead inside. She gets annoyed when they only want her for sex, and nothing more. She tries her best to stay clear of these people. However, if the person shows her emotional support and is willing to build an emotional bond, then she wouldn’t mind mating with them.
If you manage to care enough about her, you’ll earn the chance to mate with her. She’s an old fashioned woman, which means she wants the intimate time to be special. She cares how much effort you put into it, and if you make her special, it only boosts her emotional love for you even more. She at some point expects to have a family with the right person. She’s the old fashioned family woman, and often dreams of making a home with someone who she cares deeply for.
~Biography~
Daimos has always been told that if a mortal eats her, they gain immortality. As a result, she became paranoid of the human world. She would be lying if she said humans didn’t interest her though. Sometimes she’s brave enough to venture to the surface, others she would rather be home, where it’s safe. However when she does have to feed, she has to buck up and swim to the surface, and sing for her meal so to speak.
She lives in a cove deep within the sea. Sometimes it can get rather crowded, especially with her siblings. She is one of the middle children, so she doesn’t get much attention from her parents. To top it all off, she’s not as confident with her abilities as a mermaid, so she’s often hiding the background, or why she hardly leaves home. She’s still considered young in mermaid years, so she’s lacking practice. Her older siblings and parents try to push her to be her best, and she appreciates their support. However, it’ll take some time.
On the off chance that she does go to the surface, she makes sure that she’s well hidden. Human objects fascinate her, so she might take a few things back with her. Besides looking for a meal, she’s also looking for a life long mate. However, with her being cautious and shy, she doesn’t think she’ll find one soon. This doesn’t bother her. She views that every time she travels to the surface, it’s a form of mermaid training, which helps her get over her fears with baby steps.
