Cirothe

Amongst fire and ice, one who is hot and cold...

One can instantly tell that Cirothe is a descendant of the black dragon bloodline by the mere sight of his shimmering scales. His place among them is that of a mystery to anyone outside of the brood, for those who might ever be close (or stupid) enough to strike up a conversation with the black dragon either ends up fulfilling Cirothe's need for sustenance or succumbs to his icy breath.

Cirothe has the power to breathe fire, but not as greatly as his brothers and sisters. The dragon has developed the great ability to exhume an icy chill from his maw, which can completely encase a foe in ice or simply root them into place. Cirothe also has the greater than average ability to sense and manipulate magical forces, but rarely does so outside his duties for the black dragonflight.

The size of Cirothe is somewhat comparable to that of a grown elephant, though he is much longer from head to tail and greatly more slender. That's why when he swallows human prey they make a very noticeable bulge both on their way down and in their new home.

Cirothe can use his magical powers to devour those that might be troublesome for his size, but he enjoys nothing more than naturally swallowing down humans. The dragon is very particular about his prey, and almost always targets females. To him, they have a particular flavour about them that is almost euphoric. Only when he is terribly hungry or in the right mood will he ever devour males, otherwise they meet their demise in an icy tomb.
