So, I'm sure you're gonna ask me something. It's a question I asked quite a few people before designing the character to see how people would answer it, just to make sure this sort of 'idea' would work. The funny thing was how even the answers were. If it weren't for the odd number, I would have had a tie, no doubt.
I'm sure you already know what the question is.
I'm not gonna answer it for you.
Backstory
Chu lived his life in a very odd way. It wasn't as though she had a specific goal or some kind of wonderful ideal that he had to follow throughout life. Nope, Chuu simply found herself living in the same way his parents lived. Wanderers. Vagabonds, People who had no real place in life. It suited him, as she really never found a specific place that she could call his own in the end.
Mind you, He wasn't always like this. At one point in her life, he was going to become the strongest of her kind. The most proficient at his races ancient abilities, and she fully intended on taking over his village and leading them to a glorious prosperity that the oni have not seen for years.
Then he ran into Tamano-no-Mae.
Yes
that Tamano-no-Mae, the rather 'evil' nogitsune known for causing the emperor to become ill, and was said to have been driven off and 'killed' by the emperor's guards. Of course, as any good nogitsune would have done, she tricked them into thinking she had died and left a very vengeful spirit to inhabit a stone and kill anyone who attempted to fiddle with the stone itself.
Nevertheless, it was the same Tamano-no-Mae who challenged Chuuritsu for his sacred, bottomless gourd of sake, one crafted for her by his father. Now, Tamano is quite the fierce opponent, but Chuu was a prodigy of his craft and actually beat her in a fair fight, simply through his ability with her staff.
This, of course, angered the kitsune to the point that she dropped a -heavy- curse and stole the gourd. He, naturally, gave chase and eventually bludgeoned the kitsune till she could get the gourd back...but the damage had been already done.
...He didn't know it till she came back to the village...and everyone barely recognized him. They couldn't even remember what he had looked like before she had left....and when she asked what was wrong, they all kept asking him who she was.
and what gender he was, for that matter. He would go to answer, but she stopped...and realized he had no idea. He would check....and see what he knew he had, but within seconds, she had what she...still knew she had.
It made no sense, and yet....
Personality
Chuu is very much the same person no matter what they are when they meet you. A calm, yet headstrong red oni, they take the protection of themselves very seriously, and never allow anyone to disparage them for any reason. Granted, depending on....the situation at hand, there will be very minute differences, but they are going to be the same calm, almost lazy, but short-tempered Oni that one would expect them to be.
Abilities and Equipment
Schrodinger Curse: This would be the big question everyone wants answered.
What is his gender? Well...that is the curse.
Her gender is what you think it is. He could be a boy. She could be a girl. Hell, she could be a dick-girl, or he could be a cunt-boy...they could be a hermaphrodite for all you know, but it all depends on what you perceive her to be. Mind you, first perceptions are going to be the strongest, so whatever you see him at first glance...that is what she is going to be.
Enough willpower can change her, and the change will change -her- perception of herself. Yep. So if she's a dickgirl to you, she's always been a dickgirl, and she's gonna be a -lot- more defensive about her body then, say, a boy will be.
Mind you, she's never gonna have breasts, and his cock is never going to be amazingly big.
Oni: Seriously, this is an ability unto itself. She has skin stronger then most leather armor, and is strong enough to lift boulders three times his size over her head, especially if she's drunk. He's also got an iron stomach and a titanium liver.
Conflagration: Most oni wont bother with the ancient skills anymore, putting more emphasis on their bodies and just being tough as nails. Chuu, at a young age, got a hold of some of the old oni scrolls and actually put forth the effort to learn every trick that his clan had...He can do -amazing- things with flame and is able to even shape and form flame into animals, weapons, anything you can think of.
Staff: It's made out of Oni-grade adamantium. She can knock buildings over with it, and he tends to keep it on her back. Don't try stealing it, he'll let you, and you'll regret it.

So, as the profile says. His gender is whatever you immediately think of her as. It -can- change, but I'm gonna keep a list of every gender and apply your name to it to remember what you thought of him as.

One thing to keep in mind, I will -rarely- allow them to be a cuntboy or dickgirl immediately, mostly because you are really going to have to convince me of -why- you see them as one. Most people don't think 'guy with a vagina' or 'Girl with a Penis' when they initially see a picture. They go for what is subconsciously in their head, and that is the whole idea behind them.
