Background - Leader of the clan of Yoshis who live in Yoshi's Village on Lavalava Island. Respectable and reliable from the start, his closest friend, an unnamed Brown Yoshi, claims that his future as a leader was evident from their adventures as children. During these adventures, the Chief Yoshi frequently committed acts of mischief. The events include his attempts at climbing trees, throwing rocks around and bothering the local Ravens. It can be inferred that he grew more mature as he aged. Eventually, he was selected to be the new leader of Yoshi's Village and has since performed his duty infallibly.

Personaility - While respected, reliable, and carries the air of a leader, the Chief is often seen as laid back and relaxed, though push comes to shove he will act to defend his village from harm.

Natural Abilities


Much like other Yoshi, Chief has some of the trademark gimicks with some of his own twists due to being more plumper and from his childhood adventures.

Tongue - A trademark of any Yoshi; Can shoot it out to stick onto someone or something before pulling them back into his mouth with great speed.

Egg Lay - Another trademark; Once consumed he can quickly send them through his body and out as an egg, from here he can throw it with enough force to crack and shatter bones and shells.

Flutter Jump - By kicking and running in the air while sometimes flailing his arms, he can achieve an extended jump and limited hovering.

Enhanced Nose - Much like any other Yoshi, Chief has an acute sense of smell that can track anyone like a bloodhound. However he goes one step further and can track even faint trances with enough focus.

Odd Insides - For those he holds there is an odd effect from staying inside of him, either from the musk, walls, or warmth, one can be allured to staying for longer than intended.

Personal Moves


Stunning Strike - A techquie learned from rough-housing and getting some weight, by punching just hard enough in the right spot the Chief can stun someone for a follow up.

Ground Pound - Jumps into the air and slams into the ground, usually rump first. May cause stunning, small quakes, people vanishing if directly under, and crushing blows.

Run Through - Throwing is weight away, he can tackle someone at full sprint and not lose momentum.
