Not everyone gets to have their wildest dream come true. Chelsei is not everyone. She's ONE person, and HER wildest dream DID come true!
That said, her wildest dream wasn't super far-fetched, either. She only ever wanted to go into space, and presumably she could have afforded an offworld vacation at some point. However, even by that standard she's over-achieved. She managed to get herself some serious qualifications as a repair tech(and a sweet new arm, after a not so awesome accident), working for a company that managed asteroid mining, among other things. Now, though, she's moved on.
Well. TECHNICALLY, she got fired, but it wasn't HER fault that the asshole they hired over her was incompetent, nor was it HER fault that she kept making him look bad. It wasn't even her fault that he got offended! She was quiet, professional, and a bit awkward... but still not stupid enough to not notice when he spiked her drink, and the company fired BOTH of them to keep things hushed up. There was a VERY nice severance package, though, and she was able to enlist on a navy Quick-Response team, as a specialized technician. She got a little combat training, and some VERY nice upgrades(A cranial implant to assist her memory, though that implant's a little glitchy, and a scanner integrated into her eyes).
And now... well, she's living large, and loving life. She's still quiet, professional, and awkward, but now she's got better benefits, and she's going further from Earth than she ever dreamed possible. What more could a girl want?
