"You would go great with the right cheese and butter...."
Sophia has always known what she wanted to be when she grew up~ Her parents were a little worried when she was reading more cookbooks than storybooks, especially when they got her a pet bunny and she turned her into rabbit stew, but once they tasted what she started cooking, they realized they had a prodigy on their hands~!
So of course they enrolled her in cullinary school as soon as they could! In fact, doing so before she had even left Kindergarten! While normally this would be unthinkable, The headmaster of the school was given a sample of some of her cooking, and decided an exception could be made~! And by the time she was a teen she graduated with honors from the best school in the country~! Finally, as she neared her twenties, she owned and ran a resteraunt serving the very best foods but...she felt there was still something missing to her cooking...but what? The answer would come to her quite by accident~
One day she noticed a strange discoloration in the broth of one of her soups. She had the server stop and gave it a slight taste. WONDERFUL~! Something, she didn't know what, had been added to this soup to make it taste divine~! But what? Then she noticed it~ The chef who had prepared the soup had cut her hand without realizing it, and was bleeding eeever so slightly. Now cooking with blood is nothing new, in fact in some places Blood is used to make a kind of Blood Tofu, so why was THIS blood so delicious? She had to experiment...and so, the next time she had to fire a chef, a girl who had undercooked chicken and nearly served it to a customer, she did so in a new way, a way that would allow her to test a theory~
Before opening the next day, she invited her staff into the kitchen tot ry a meal she had prepared the night before. A simple roast, she had layed out some steaks cut from the roast for them to try. Of course, they all came o the same conclusion that Sophia had. This was the very best thing she had ever cooked! They asked her what it could possibly be?! Some exotic animal? Something new and undiscovered? And then she revealed it, from beneath a silver dome...the girl who had been fired~ Roasted to perfection~ Of course some of her staff left...but only a few~ Because they had already tasted the meat~ They couldn't deny the results....Sophia had discovered something absolutely delicious....People~
These days, her Resteraunt PROUDLY serves people, and while it has regular food on the menu, Sophia knows it pales in comparison to a good longpig~ She gives discounts to anyone bringing their own meat, and of course anyone who can't pay the bill is usually found on a plate not long after~ Now, that's not to say Sophia is immune to the Menu, after all, she has some young Chefs learning from her kitchen who may want to take over her spot one day~
((WIP but ready for play. Obviously this is a Cooking focused profile, so if that's not your thing, apologies))
