Charz is not what you would call a normal Lizalfos. He works alongside the rest of his species as the monsters that inhabit hyrule to cause mayhem and trouble to passerby's
In reality however, he and his kind actually work quite closely, in a very militaristic style as they were created and raised to serve the king of evil. However...Charz is not like the others.
While he may follow his orders, he has a tendancy to get himself into trouble while at the same time maintaining a rather unusual ammount of luck. He's encountered the HERO Link, three times on his patrols through the kingdom with the rest of the troops and yet, he's the only one to ever survive unscathed while the remainder of his party suffer terrible injuries or fatalities.
While this plays well with his fighting instinct and natural ability, it also made him sort of a legend among his peers who believed him to be some supernatural being. Some even theorize that the Triforce of Power might have shared a piece of it's magic and influence with the lizard. Whatever it may be, Ganon has noticed Charz's ability to withstand heavy punishment and even go toe to toe with the hero of legend and survive!
Because of his surprising actions in battle, Ganon is always putting him in the frontlines and supplying him with minions of his own who he controls directly. This usually consists of a few lizalfos of his own kind, and Moblins, though occasionally a dinofols will be put under his command.

Charz has a unique form of interrogation when he thinks he might smell a lead on where the hero might be, or if rebels might be planning an attack on Ganons forces. One such tactic is threatening to devour the one under scrutiny if they do not talk. And throwing them onto the fire if they become especially resistant. SOme might call this unnecessarily cruel, while others might consider him simply feeding his "pack".
Despite his occupation and the fact he works for Ganon, he does have a soft spot! Particularly for those who work in his platoon, and those that he deem are worth protecting for information. If you can win this lizards trust and he doesn't think you'll be a nusiance then count yourself lucky.
