It has been a bit of a running theme with Cayla that if something can go wrong, it will go wrong, even without her really doing anything. There have been cases of mistaken identity (being mistaken for the one who cheated with someone's SO), to a bucket of water emptying over her head and soaking her, to her stumbling and falling over things.
In time she has developed some resilience to these things happening to her and while they were still frustrating, she has developed a bit of a zen attitude towards it. Accepted that the universe just seems to have it in for her.
With this being the case, it seems the universe has decided to step things up a notch and this time her bad luck ended with her falling in front of a truck.

Cut to black. I mean really cut to black... when coming to, she was surprisingly still alive. She had made it here, the Nexus, chat. Only she had been transported right into Karen_Jones womb. Only Cayla could have such bad luck as to get isekai-ed into a fantasy world... only it was uncannily similar to her previous world, with the small addition that people had a habit of gobbling each other up and shoving one another... places. Combine this with her eternal streak of bad luck and... well, she's in for an interesting time, stumbling not to land on her butt, but with her head in someone's jaw, being gobbled up after an accusation of eating someone's friend and who knows what else fate has in store for her.
