You could say that, after years of abuse, Cayenna has misconceptions about love.
You could also say that the state of the American economy in 1929 was a little bit of a bummer.
Cayenna, from a very early age, had it impounded in her that she had to be responsible. With so many brothers and sisters, in a large family, she had to take care of her parents! After all, they raised her for 18 years! Fair's fair!
And so, with the mentality that any job was better than no job, she was discovered at a job fair. Unfortunately, it was by a casino that served predators. Or, rather, fortunately. See, with all those people eager to see the diminutive girl packed away into some bubbling cum-tanks, or a tight gut, and her misgivings about what affection actually looks like, she couldn't help but get excited, about being so wanted. It was exciting.
Plus she turned out to be a pretty good dealer! So there's that.
