Cassius Cant. A boy of curiosity and brains. His bright blue eyes direct the gaze that spearheads his inquisitiveness. Soft spoken and calm in the spotlight, his casual demeanor conceals a well of boundless energy, ready to spring forth at a moment’s notice when something ignites his passion. Whether that spark is an interesting mystery, a pleasant partner, a desired trinket, or just an exotic new way to pass the time, Cass will take in his surroundings with a cool calm until it melts beneath the passion of his determination to satiate his desires. For better or worse, that passion can be fleeting and many a complex project or hobby of many years has been simply cast aside as it fell out of favor with the boy. This has led to him accruing a long list of skills and abilities that rarely see the light of day as he studies intensely, races to complete his goals, then simply moves on. Despite this tendency to explode outward then burn out, he has nothing against falling back on old passions. Just because he’s done it once doesn’t mean he can’t do it again, and just as well!

Currently, the boy has set himself up as a painter, though in the earliest stages, his works are little better than illustrations a child would have their parents hang on the fridge. Still, in his eyes, these pieces are treasures one and all as the joy is held in the process, and in sharing them with friends. After that, they can be thrown away without a second thought. Afterall, he had his fun, his friends had their laugh, and no one else is going to want to look at that muddled paint smear again. On to the next masterpiece, if only until some new hobby sinks its claws in and the paints join a hundred other tool sets in the dusty catacombs of his basement.

As his friend, you are the light of his life. His sun and his shade. The opal of his eyes and more. His passions, fleeting though they may be, are as much to entertain those close to him as to keep him amused. His shoulder is always available, and his ear is primed to listen to your troubles. He knows as well as anyone that the world is full of weary paths and woes are so much lighter when one has a bit of help to carry them. Those looking to get close, be warned. Cass can be a bit of a brat when the mood strikes him.
