Crystal was once a noble woman of her homeland. The strange thing about her homeland is that its in the sky, A series of flying rocks called Shards. A place where Many races have accumulated on these Terran Shards of land. For a long time the people of these Shards have traveled the sky's on massive flying ships, Huge works of art and Technical prowess.
Eventually and almost inevitably there was a population issue, and people became disgruntled about the small shards they owned, so they formed something called the Displaced Coalition, modifying the ships that were once used for peace into something of war. fitting them with Cannons, and filling them with blood thirsty, horny war fighters.
The war was quick, and the peaceful areas of the Shards were wiped out, pillaged raped and cleaned of anything useful. The Shards that they found they wanted, they would just Kill everyone on it, or enslave its population.
Eventually the war came to the door step of Serenity's shard, its rolling planes of beauty turned into a battle zone. Crystal scared for her life sat in the basement of her small homestead cowering in the corner waiting for the inevitable. Eventually the sound of men and woman crashing through the door, and the sounds of slashing blades and worse noises that still haunt her to this day Both her parents were killed after being fed to their flying mounts. Thankfully Crystals parents blocked the door hiding it from view saving her life.
Fueled by rage and sadness Crystal ventured out running into her modern "Crew" who were either in the same situation or worse, decided it was time for payback, constructing bow's and spears from things they found amongst the rubble the struck killing everyone aboard a corvette named the "Jezebel" claiming the warship for their own, and have since become heroes and a beacon of hope to the other shards in this dire time.
