The Capsule Monsters from Lufia 2: Rise of the Sinistrals. All seven are available, in all classes.
Capsule Monsters. These adorable and mighty creatures can, and will, eat anything, even if they are quite picky at times. List of monsters:
(Goddamn Photobucket ruined my pictures. Working on getting them reuploaded...) Well, at least they're not blurry anymore. Still thinking of reuploading them sometime, though.
The pictures only show them from behind because those are the only sprites that were ever used in the game... ignoring their field sprites, which were so miniscule it was hard to figure out what you were actually looking at!
Jelze:
Alignment: Neutral
Text Color: Cyan (this shade: #24FFFF)
Class 1:
A cute 'lil mass of bubbles with eyes, which unfortunately has a tendency to absorb folks... about the size of a puppy, but don't think that can stop him from eating things bigger than himself.
Class 2:
A slightly bigger version of his previous form, he's still absorbent as ever.
Class 3:
Again, slightly bigger than the previous form, now about roughly the size of a large lion, or a very well-built man.
Class 4:
Again, a bit bigger than the previous form. Now the size of a small giant
Master Class:
A feral Kitsune with 8 tails. Wanna be Fox food? Bring a Secret Fruit to the Huge Foomy form.
Personality: sort of voracious. Likes to talk a bit, but then will usually try and eat you...
Blaze
Alignment: Fire
Text Color: Red (this shade: #DB000A)
Class 1:
As the class name says, an armored dog. Kinda loveable, but with an appetite and a pretty hot belly. In this form, he talks somewhat like Scooby Doo
Class 2:
A flying lion with a scorpion tail. Thinks you look yummy.
Class 3:
A lizard with wings. Just *this* close to being a dragon.... He blames the fact that he hasn't eaten enough yet.
Class 4:
Now a full-fledged dragon; with the appetite to match.
Master Class:
A phoenix. Doesn't really need any more explanation, right? Those fiery feathers don't supply themselves, though... To be burd food, bring a Charm Fruit to the Wing Lizard form.
Personality: Very kind, but a bit wary of people at first and will sometimes be agressive before he gets to know them. Blame his class one form for this; he's basically still doglike throughout all his forms.
Flash
Alignment: Light
Text Color: Yellow (this shade: #EEEB44)
Class 1:
A blue ball of fur with eyes... and limbs, and a pretty small, weak holy spear that's more for healing than fighting. Can absorb food through the fur, but not actually through the strands, sorry.
Class 2:
A lil' fairy. Big appetite, though.
Class 3:
A cherub with arrows that can harm, heal, or make others fall in love. Pretty voracious, too.
Class 4:
A pretty angel.... and a hungry one.
Master Class:
See those ribs? yeah, this horned horsie's nearly starving; be a pal and feed it, will you? (Just bring a Dark Fruit to the Sprite form)
Personality: Kind to a fault. Will apologize like a Canadian; for the smallest things.(No, she doesn't actually have a Canadian accent. Sore-y.) She also doesn't eat people as much in her later Classes... besides unicorn. That one seems to be a completely different Flash... maybe the emaciated body is to blame...
Gusto
Alignment: Wind
Text Color: Green (this shade: #0FF000)
Class 1:
A lil bug that can eat a lot.... and I mean A LOT.
Class 2:
A giant blue bird. You're just a big grain of birdseed to him...
Class 3:
A pegasus. A hungry one.
Class 4:
A wind giant with a big bag to stuff prey in for later.
Master Class:
An Eastern dragon. Wanna be noodledragon food? Bring the Green Titan form an Earth Fruit.
Personality: Very shy in person; not used to talking to people that aren't in his belly.
Sully
Alignment: Soil (Earth)
Text Color: Tan (this shade: #AB753B)
Class 1:
An omnivorus, sentient vegetable. Who'd have thought?
Class 2:
A creature from Scottish myth, a malevolent gnome with the eponymous red headwear it got its name from.
Class 3:
A... well... giant. Need I say more?
Class 4:
A head, run amuck from Easter Island, and it's a long way from Easter Island, so it's very hungry.... Sometimes asks for gum.
Master Class:
Half man, half horse, all hungry. (bring a Breeze Fruit to the Stonhead form to meet this one.)
Personality:....I'm... not sure. Haven't gotten a chance to use him yet... so... TBA.
Zeppy
Alignment: Water
Text Color: Blue (this shade: #4341D8)
Class 1:
One fish, Monster fish, Red fish, Hungry fish.
Class 2:
An amphibian with a trident. Oh joy.
Class 3:
A big Merman with thunder powers. Nice...
Class 4:
A colossus. You really wanna meet him?
Master Class
A reverse Merman; top half fish, bottom half human. Definitely the most humorous CM. Has been known to snap at people... (bring a Flame Fruit to his Sea Giant form)
Personality: Kind, but not to a fault like Flash. The most easily approachable of all the CM's.
Darbi
Alignment: Darkness
Text Color: Purple (this shade: #6B20B2)
Class 1:
Don't be fooled by the species name; he's not actually a myconid,(unfortunately) But is actually a vine creature. Those vines certainly seem able to pull in prey, though...
Class 2:
♪Clap for the wolfman!♪ This guy will have a howling good time eating you!
Class 3:
Shortstack with a big appetite.
(my favorite CM! In this form, mostly.)
Class 4:
More like a demon, but...
Master Class:
Dark dragon decides you're delicious-looking. Don't disappoint it, be dinner for Darbi!((Alliteration combo! 8x!)) (Bring him a Holy Fruit in Wolfman form)
Personality: Mischeivous and kinda mean. Likes to play pranks. Doesn't get along with Flash; not just because they're opposing elements, but also since their personalities are polar opposites as well.
The Fruit Merchant
Capsule monsters LOVE fruit. Along with the fact that it's the only thing they'll always like, (as long as it matches their type) it's the only way to get them to their Master Forms. (By giving them the opposite fruit of their element. (Jelze being the exception) They revert off-scene.) Fortunately, whenever the CM's are around, so is a strange red-haired man who sells the fruits. A single fruit will cost you 5 Nexon dollars, but he also sells sets of 10 of all seven types at once, which will run you 20; A nice discount from 350. (Around a 94% discount! It's a steal!)
The fruits:
Secret (Neutral)
Flame (Fire)
Holy (Light)
Breeze (Wind)
Earth ("Soil")
Charm (Water)
Dark (Darkness)
The Forfeit Shop
A pawn shop that looks like a normal house, but the actual store is underground. It has to be, since the merchandise would not fit in the building otherwise. When a Capsule Monster eats someone, they'll reform near the above-ground section of the place... completely naked. Their personal effects will come back in the store, so they'll have to buy them back. Luckily, the items will be held for a month, but after that, they're fair game for anyone who wants them. Better act fast: proprietor Lily is kind, but only up to a point...(btw, this is not entirely my idea; the forfeit shop IS in the game; but the holding rule and the reformation nearby ARE my ideas.)
Character made by Damon_ (substitute sliders from another character until I have sliders on this one.) All Capsule Monsters belong to Natsume.
