Cephalopoda Venefica, a species of Mer-folk native to the southern oceans of Atlantios. These brightly coloured variants of the Octomaid are very in tune with the flow of the ocean, masters of Hydromancy, beautiful sirens and sea witches, capable or breeding with almost any other aquatic being. Curiously however most of the species is dominated by females, a male birth is exceedingly rare...enter Calix.

Calix Triton Odell (or Cal as he prefers to be called) is one such exception to the rule, born to a Cephalomaid mother and a Merman father the bright young male Octo is a free spirit, fun loving and vibrant in his personality, often stopping to smell every flower or see every unique sight. The whimsical man had taken it upon himself to travel the worlds oceans and even the lands with his ability to traverse the surface thanks to the powerful amount of magic flowing through his veins.

Now despite his parents protests the boy left at an early age and wasn't exactly....brought up completely. He isn't privvy to all of societies norms, how he's supposed to act, how to treat people, that some folks just don't want to be devoured. Yes he is a predator, though he doesn't actually mean harm by it, he's just clueless that people aren't entirely fond of becoming a part of his body. The way he sees it if you're a part of him, you get to enjoy swimming in the ocean by his side forever, a cute but dangerous outlook, let's hope you're made of sturdier stuff or that you just so happen to be the kind of care-free prey he's looking for.

Though maybe you're peckish for some calimari yourself, well the lad is just as eager to slip into your body too, life's a game to him, he plays for fun.
