Brume

Brume is what you could call a mermaid, albeit a gigantic one, standing at 100f (30 meters) from head to tail for around 140 tons. As such she often causes quite the fright to anyone on a ship at sea that sees her shadow under the waves... Even more so when she rips a few planks off a vessel to taste the wood. Yes, she likes the taste of wood and is always curious !
Brume isn't as bad as most would believe though, she likes sailors who often give her free fish and sing songs, or tell jokes. She might have caught her bad sense of humor and love for puns from them. If she finds you in a good mood stay respectful and you should be fine. If not... All in all she is very playful and enjoys playing tricks on people, such as lifting them high in the air out of the sea, watching them fall back in the waters below as they scream in terror !
Even so, Brume might be a danger to many without even noticing them, simply by swimming by, the waves she creates by doing so can be enough to turn over a small ship ! Some seek her even so for she can access the treasures of the deep with ease to trade with anyone brave enough to attempt it.
If you appear to be a magic user expect her to "play" with you, she does love taunting those !
She does have a cruel side sometimes though...
