It's a mousey. Squeak!

Everyone's heard the stories. Of how mice are used in labs for any experiment the deranged minds of those who work there can think of. Most often, this involves some kind of genetic modification. Breena was one of the mice 'lucky' enough to be involved in such things.

She used to be a normal mouse. Tiny, weak, carefree. Even born and raised in the lab, she was untouched for the first few years of her life, allowed to live almost normally, her every need all but provided for, as they wanted her good and healthy when she was older.

Once she grew up, she'd join the other mice as one to experiment on, though fortunately for her, the experiments she'd go through were very experimental. One was an injection that would alter her body almost entirely, turning her from a regular mouse into an anthromorphic mouse, complete with breasts and vocal cords!

It was a smashing success. Not only did she look almost human, but she was a very pretty one at that! They gave her a few days, seeing if what they did to her was temporary or not. During that time, they'd be with her, teaching her how to speak, and how to walk on two legs and use her hands. Either she was a very quick learner, or the stuff they put into her helped her do that as well. No one was sure at that point.

Once they were sure it was permanent, they'd test something else. This time, they would try and change her size, to get her as big as a human would be around her age. Test after test was made, but they yielded little to no result. On the final day of their attempts however, they had succeeded. Or at least came very close. She was under 5 feet tall, but not by much. And again, they'd give it a few days to see if it was permanent or not. It would prove not to be, Breena randomly going back and forward between the size of a mouse and that of a human as time passed, with no visible trigger.

They still called it a success however, and once she was fluent in the human tongue, they'd release her out into the park. They called it a field test. And many things around the park would call it lunch. Not that she wasn't able to devour others from time to time!
