The art of pokemon breeding is a long and storied one that has existed since the very first days when humanity first began to form bonds and take pokemon as companions. It has existed in many forms and in practically every culture. It is no secret that through the right breeding, pokemon of tremendous ability can be formed. Inheriting the fine blood of their father and mother, and even obtaining moves that the species can't learn on its own. There are places where breeding is a storied, historic, and almost sacred tradition, places where breeding is a thing of love, a true sign of one's affection and fascination with pokemon, and places where breeding is a thriving, profitable business, to those with the ability to do it well and distinguish themselves from the many others. It is in this very business that Samantha Augustine has made her fortune, and her name.

Hailing from Kalos, Samantha, or Augustine as most call her, is a breeder well known for the quality of the pokemon she produces. She has built a sweeping and impressive reputation as one of the best of the best. Her pokemon have some of the finest breeding, the best moves one might want, and of course, command a high price for such excellent work. The price is higher, if one wants a specific pokemon. Often delivered newly hatched, or still indeed an egg. If one provides their own male, the price is discounted, and the price is at its lowest if the customer provides their own female, only wanting a breeding stud. Ace Trainers, gym leaders, other breeders and more have sought out her services, and ever are her pokemon rather busy meeting demand. It's reached the point where her property is practically a small ranch in and of itself. Sometimes people have mistaken it for an out of the way daycare! As a result, Samantha does have employees, a very small, carefully run and tight knit group of helpers. Most of them are experienced, but she has been known to hire on those without proper experience from time to time. After all, if everyone only hired the experienced, no one new would get a chance to learn.

Having the extra help is also quite important, as Samantha herself likes to travel regularly. All told about three fourths of the year total is spent on her property, overseeing her business. The other fourth is spent traveling to the many regions of the world. Seeing the sights, enjoying herself, and more importantly, scouring the wilds for pokemon with enough potential to be useful for breeding. One should never underestimate the value of wilder stock, and if she's not just relaxing, she's looking for something interesting in the wilds, or in the hands of trainers that might be willing to make a trade.

To this end, Samantha has her own personal pokemon. A team of pokemon that she bred, raised and trained entirely by herself. Her personal pokemon, a set that might even be able to rival a champion's pokemon. They're some of her oldest pokemon, and are rarely bred. Generally she'll breed one or two at a time, so she still has a full team of six. These pokemon also serve as a fantastic public face for the kind of pokemon one can expect if they are willing to fork over the cash required. Although there's always a few people who see her pokemon and forget that how you train a pokemon, is just as important as it's breeding.

Given to her not by the professor, but by her auntie, who had gotten her from a breeder she was good friends with. Arariel is one of Samantha's finest pokemon, and has long served as the gold standard to which Samantha measures all further pokemon she raises. She is calm, composed, well trained, and of course loyal, close and fiercely protective of her trainer, even if one tends to fail to notice that thanks to her cool composure.
	Phanuel	Mawile	Sheer Force	Swords Dance Play rough Iron Head Iron Defense	Loyal, Graceful and a potent force in battle, Phanuel was one of the first pokemon Samantha ever bred. Phanuel is her 'lucky little fluke' as Samantha calls her. A miraculous Mawile bred nigh perfectly despite how inexperienced Samantha was at the time. The two have a strong bond, a common theme with all of Samantha's pokemon. Phanuel composes herself with a friendly and polite manner, keeping herself well spoken and cheerful even when facing down a potential enemy. Something that has at times played to her advantage.
	Kushiel	Tangrowth	Regenerator	Solar Beam Poison Jab Energy Ball Protect	One of the later pokemon Samantha bred and raised, Kushiel is nonetheless no less loyal than anyone other pokemon. She acts friendly and in battle will sometimes even play dumb to try and anger foes. However, one of her primary roles is for dealing with troublesome pokemon Samantha has acquired. Using her many vines, she'll employ them to help break or restrain wild pokemon that prove particularly resistant to training and being given the many comforts Samantha's home offers. A task she rather greatly enjoys.
	Nuriel	Mamoswine	Snow Cloak	Hail Earthquake Icicle Crash Scary Face	A true sweetheart in Samantha's tight knit little group. Nuriel is almost motherly in her behavior with other pokemon, using her warm large body to shelter others. A strange thing for her type perhaps, but one she enjoys nonetheless. In battle she's a bit reluctant despite engaging in orders with perfect timing, always preferring quick battles so that her opponents can be tended to, healed and welcomed into a far more comfortable life at home.
	Radueriel	Kangaskhan	Early Bird	Double Edge Thunder Punch Outrage Giga Impact	Perhaps the defining heavy hitter of Samantha's team, Radueriel's offensive power is a thing to be feared, and that's without being mega evolved! One might expect her to be the more motherly one than Nuriel, but she's actually not very motherly at all. In fact she tends to behave more like a child herself. She's energetic, talkative, always up for anything fun, be it a fight or otherwise and generally just incredibly friendly and cheerful. About the only time this sees any blows is if she actually loses a fight.
	Camael	Salamence	Moxie	Dragon Dance Outrage Shadow Claw Dragon Claw	By far the most confident of Samantha's pokemon, Camael's sheer assurety of her combat prowess and unstoppable nature has lead to a friendly, but very lazy, 'happy-go-lucky' attitude. Even with her trainer she can sometimes need a bit of 'disciplining' to remind her of her place. She considers herself a rival of Radueriel, jealous of Raddy's spot as the biggest heavy hitter of the team. Of course the fact that Radueriel has beaten Camael multiple times surely has nothing to do with this perception.
	Jehoel	Blaziken	Speed Boost	Bulk Up Sky Uppercut Blaze Kick Flare Blitz	Cocky, arrogant, and always eager for a fight, Jehoel is a product of fine breeding. She believes she was bred to fight, and that is what she lives for. Sparring with other pokemon, be it her fellow teammates, or simply other pokemon on the property is what she'll spend as much time as possible doing when not traveling with Samantha. The best way to get her respect is fight her, the quickest way to lose it, is to fight poorly, or refuse.
	Samael	Gourgheist	Insomnia	Trick or Treat Will o Wisp Phantom Force Curse	Adorable, large and clearly of the largest variety of her species. Samael is friendly, and extremely cuddly and affectionate. A very useful pokemon in Samantha's roster, Samael fills an obvious support role. She's not well suited for direct combat. She's large, tanky, and a bit on the slow side physically (maybe a little mentally too). However, she hits hard, and to her friends she's...well to everyone she's very cuddly. In fact she really loves holding people close and just smothering them in her curves. Samantha often has to warn people to make sure they don't let her suffocate them.
