What stands before you is a sight to behold; His usual appearence is exactly that of an old black and white cartoon character complete with toony porportions and stands at 5'1.
Boris is usually an upbeat and kind toon unless provoked, in which case get ready to get personal with a cream pie! Since his seemingly spontanious appearence a year ago he has made his circus like shows well known around the area; his circus tent seems to just show up out of nowhere whenever he gets the chance.
He is the unofficial leader of
Party_Of_Toons and in a way he is the 'alpha toon' as they like to jokingly say. This is due to how the rest of the toons came about: Transformation.
Indeed Boris is the first Toon in this world, and currently the only one capable of turning others into toons, but due to both his skill and reagents anyone interested can choose from a variety of Cartoon animal species to become! Anyone transformed into an animal toon will also begin to change mentally, although memory is fully retained they will begin to take on the mental traits of the animal to a degree as well. For example Squirrels begin to love nuts, cats seafood etc...
However there are some species he simply does not have the reagents for, one of those being human..He also dislikes when people want to be a toon just to save their current vanity (health is another story). Rarely worked back in the day anyway, they might suddenly be thin but dont like how big their eyes are or something. Better off going for broke and picking an animal you like!
Anyone transformed is advised to travel with them for a time, as the first weeks are the most influential to a new toons mind. If you choose to work towards being a joyfull individual then it will be pretty easy to do so, if you wana be a little mischivious, give some people what they have coming, you can do that too! Though Boris also pays close attention and generally leads them away from becoming -complete- assholes. Although toons can change as people do, nothing is set in stone.
As Boris will warn anyone who makes the transformation, You will be watched All the time by the goverment due to toon's otherworldly nature. Wether due to the fact that toons are near impossable to capture and -keep- or the political backlash they simply monitor the toons.
But Hey, if ya wana be a Toon you are going to be watched. Makes sense right?

As for where boris comes from? He will always answer from the Tooniverse, to have a more 'stable' life on the 'normal' plane He struck a deal with the Goverment of this world that he could stay and be known and put on his show freely, even make some people who wish it into Toons, in exchange he did the Toon transformation process in a laboratory for them once and even parted with a few Toon Items for research. They believe mastering toon physics is the future of the world and continue to keep up thier end of the bargain by not interfereing with them.
With the Goverment getting what they want, He travels around putting on his show...sometimes transforming those who wish it into a toon by his secret process, and sometimes even has need to go back to the tooniverse from time to time for reagents. The exact process for transformation is Mysterious as well, the Goverment has yet to decern much out of what they have studied. All they have learned is that it is truely permanent.
Some ask the reasonable question to Boris "where did you come from". The answer is from the Tooniverse.
The Tooniverse is not easily understood, it quite literaly makes no sense. It's core plane is that of a place much like earth, there are forests, deserts, swamps and even more civilized parts like cities and towns. However, as one travels they will find it just keeps going; the surface goes on to the ends of spacetime; through vast oceans and continents it somehow just keeps going.
However the strangness does not end there, as there is another aspect to this plane of existance. Through various means toons can enter a sort of subspace of Mini-timelines that seem to function like a cartoon short. The setting and role of those who enter vary greatly, sometimes there is a problem, a villan or scenario that presents itself for the toon(s) to handel. Sometimes it's a laid back slice of life, sometimes it's a wacky adventure. It is unknown what factors in the scenario of a toon, sometimes the focus can be on what species the toon is, other times its barely a factor at all.
When one is over they come back out of the portal, sometimes with something they had. This subspace is also where toons go when they cant have a physical form (IE when they are 'dead') however even toons that got sent there by biting it have potential to come back. Some do choose to just live their life like that and just go with the flow however.
