Personality

Extremely serious, focused, and professional. Bernadette is not very tolerant of bad jokes or crude humor while on the job. She's there to keep track of appointments, answer incoming phone calls, and record activities of all in the office... Or even out of the office if it's during business hours. It's no secret that the things she scribbles onto that yellow legal pad tend to end up on the desks of interested parties regardless of who her subject of observation is.

Abilities and powers

Note Taking: Bernadette is able to scribble onto her notepad at a fairly rapid pace. It might not always be a complete description of what she's keeping tabs on, but it's thorough enough that she gets most of the important information.

Lightning Breath: As a dragoness, Bernadette can breath a specific element at any who earn her ire. In her case, it's lightning. She can use this to give a nasty shock to any who might try to harm her, or just use it to lightly zap people or electronic devices that earn her ire.

Background

Bernadette never knew her birth parents, growing up in various foster homes, having a bit of a troubled youth until she finally got to high school. It was there that she on a whim took a one-day work-study program at a local small business. The owner, a charismatic older man, made her his secretary for the day and lectured her on the finer points of self reliance, hard work, valuing herself, and being a professional. It was an epiphany and a turning point in Bernadette's life and from there she straightened her life out bit by bit, wanting to be taken seriously for her own merits rather than be looked down upon due to her past and the miscreants that she'd been spending time with. By the time she graduated from high school, she'd salvaged what was left of her GPA and was accepted into a local community college. During this time, the business owner she'd talked with ended up closing up shop and moving across the country to retire and she was left without a way to contact him. Regardless she continued to pour her heart into her work and her studies.
She took classes and worked part time at various jobs before getting two-year degree and moving onto a proper office job. Since then she's been working as a secretary at local big-name offices, hired for her thus-far spotless professional reputation and her skill, with reports of her being distant to everyone OTHER than her direct superiors being few, but accurate. These days she works nine to five, going home to a one-bedroom apartment in one of the city high-rises. She pays just a bit more to have an extra room... and what she keeps in there is hidden with blackout curtains, soundproofing, and an extra lock or two.

Yellow Legal Pads: Bernadette is never without at least one of these to scribble notes upon.

Ball Point Pens: And of course she has several of these as well. With black, blue, or red ink she takes meticulous track of the things around her. She may also have a couple of very valuable gold and gem-studded pens hoarded away someplace secret.
