Banjaxed

Several years ago, the man who would become Jinxed's jerk of a master once was a wizard of moderate magical skill...and no personal skills. In an attempt to create the perfect bride, he began to perform alchemical experiments, with the intent on transforming the one being who was desperately loyal to him—his bat familiar—into the perfect lover and servant. In his lecherous haste—due to the morality issues of using alchemy in this manner—his familiar was transformed into a shapely humanoid with unmistakable chiropteran features.

”Master...? H-have I displeased you? Why are you angry with me?”

Unwilling to slay her outright—if she were killed by him, the mystic backlash would take his life, as well—and out of fear of his unlawful actions becoming public knowledge, the wizard would lock his confused, clumsy mistake—cruelly nicknamed “Banjaxed”—within the cellar, until he could decide what to do with her. Sealed in the darkness, and forced to subsist on scraps, rubbish, vermin, and the occasional snake, the poor woman-creature would wander the dank basement for countless days. Time would become lost to her, as she began to blame herself for not being what her master wanted her to be. Though she didn't understand why, her heart began to break, with the same damning thought ringing through her head...

“It's my fault. I deserve this.”

One fateful evening, however, would change that.

Roused by a deafening explosion—louder than most of the others she had heard, anyhow—and the subsequent scuffeling, Banjaxed would soon find the door to her prison being opened for the first time. A slightly familiar voice—she had heard it before, from above, but it didn't sound the same now—called out into the darkness. Banjaxed huddled into a corner, fearing for her life...until a soft, fuzzy, padded hand reached out to her gently. Introducing herself as ”Jinxed”, she summed up the events that had transpired, that her master was gone, and that she was now free.

”I am...free? ...will you be my master now?”

Eager to please her new, and far more accepting, master, Banjaxed grants her assistance to Jinxed whenever she can. Her overeagerness, coupled with the fact that she's clumsy and can't read, have caused more than a few accidents, but the two take their lives in stride. Working as Jinxed's assistant, she devotes herself to her tasks daily, a happiness for her mistress within her heart that she doesn't even begin to understand...

RAW DATA:

Banjaxed is 70/30 pred, Stealth-type. She stands just a hair under 7' tall, not counting her ears, and weighs about 500lbs. Her eyes--which are normally closed--are jet black, as she is almost completely blind, relying on echolocation, causing her to percieve the "world" as varying shades of gray. She can see in low or no light, but due to the fact that she spent most of her time in this form locked away in a cellar, she is illiterate.

Banjaxed's hands are, in fact, gigantic wings with thumbs; soft and fuzzy on the outside, supple on the inside, and very strong and durable. When completely unfurled, she has a wingspan of nearly 20'. She is able to fly if she is less than 800lbs—the weight of 1-2 standard preys, or if she's at near term with triplets—and is only able to glide if her weight is less than 1000lbs. Any more, and she's waddlin' home.

Within her mouth and throat is her three-foot long--where does she hide it all?!--prehensile tongue, which she uses for various purposes, including snaring prey and getting the last cookie out of the bottom of a jar.

Unlike Jinxed, Banjaxed started her life as a normal--albeit, sentient--animal. She tends to be active towards the later hours of the day, all night, up until dawn. In addition, Banjaxed tends to be particularly dominant and agressive with any male she seeks to seduce. She won't actively persue females for the purpose of mating--that's not how pups are made--with the sole exception being her mistress, Jinxed whom she owes her freedom to, and--though she doesn't understand the concept--loves dearly.

Banjaxed has a moderate resistance to magic, due to the fact that she is a familiar. This can cause some magical abilities to backfire if used in a malicious manner against her. In addition, any magic Jinxed uses around her has its power increased.

AS PRED:

Banjaxed primarily eats to fill her stomach and, at her size, needs quite a bit. She has been known to smother her prey with her massive, thick wings, pin them under her ample frame, and even mate with male victims, before swallowing them hungrily. Blood, also, is one of her favorites: a love bite from this girl has more than once sent her into full-on vampire mode, causing her to hungrily lap up blood from the wound she inflicted until the victim is too weak to prevent their impending ingestion. Anthropomorphic versions of standard bat prey—insects, fish, birds, small mammals, small reptiles, frogs—as well as humans are her preferences. She's also partial to fruit or fruity-tasting foods, but it'll take a lot to fill her up.

AS PREY:

Shortly after taking Banjaxed as her servant, Jinxed prepared an alchemical concotion for her—the same one she herself imbibed—and fed it to Banjaxed. This potion allows her to reform herself from death, but will always return her to Jinxed's hovel, placing her in the cellar.
