Appearance People aren't always defined by their clothes, right? Balaklava provides a perfect example of one whom, no matter the clothes, is always noted simply by the way she is, although there isn't that many anthropomorphic equines going about with their bodies a hundred-percent shining electric blue latex, so it could be that.

With her bodily make-up, some might question just why a mare like Bala would wear clothes, but the answer is simple, she's more comfortable without her assets swinging about in the breeze like a miniature newtons cradle, that's a job she leaves to her rather more stallionesque appendage. As a result of her latex form, it's a simple matter for Bala to acquire clothing in the same tone as her latex, making the resulting combination seemingly natural for her.

As it is, a rather tight t-shirt, a sac-strap and a gorget don't exactly fufill the dress-codes of many places, but they don't all necessarily fit into Bala's idea of places of entertainment anyway. When you're a latex-equine with a rather flexible constitution, some ideas which might hurt others can simply result in a few twists, or perhaps a little variation in the consistency of the latex which forms her body could see a potential partner sinking in, dissapearing amid her celestial-toned curves never to be seen again.

Her 'blue-pole' on the other hand is rather more visible to all, being a source of pride for the equine and even a favorite weapon when it comes to subduing an especially frisky potential lay in some of the bars and clubs this 'mare' has frequented in her time. Where her assets can be safely tucked away safe and sound amid a tight top or underwear, what can she do when her pole spots a siren it's rather taken a shine too? Why, keep any obstructions out of its way, of course!

Personality Does the term 'hedonist' ring any bells? Because that's exactly the type of person that resulted in Balaklava's creation. It's not as though latex-sentients run free in the wild after all, and more than a few innovative types thought such an item might sell well upon the market in the form of a 'sex-doll'. Those innovative types got together with a few latex suppliers, and product design work started in earnest.

As with several projects under-way at the time, a little security was put in place with the utilisation of a code-name rather than stating their intent out-loud for another company to steal the moment something got out. Project 'Balaklava', as it came to be known was touted as a revolution, the best in faus-sexuality and a doll capable of flipping gender at as much as a cute suggestion in addition to intelligently following ones commands. Expensive, but some shareholders with money to burn certainly supported it all the way.

Ultimately though, the end-product didn't turn out to be quite as pliable as was originally wished. Where they eventually succeeded in imbuing a previously inanimate object with a degree of sentience and animation, and found that it wasn't interested in slavery. Although a degree of indoctrination had been attempted, free will ultimately sufficed to get the newly created 'mare' freed from corporate bonds (lawyers always loved an easily-swayed case after all) and left to get on with life, whatever that was.

A society with a willing market for faux-slave sex-dolls swallowed up a latex-equine without even a seconds doubt, what with the sheer quantity of species around, what difference did it make if one was a little shinier than the rest? Some might consider her origins as a pity, citing that 'Iren', as she has termed herself needn't be as sexualised as she is, blaming those who originally made her, but in the end it's just the way 'Iren' is, and why would she want to change that?
