Azazel hails from the height of the heavens and the depths of hell.
Let's back up a bit.
A long time ago, Azazel was an Archangel, and charged with protecting a family on Earth. Soon after, she became incredibly close to the family, protecting them for years.
Until one say, a powerful demon came into town. The demon came in and decimated the village that the family resided in.
In addition to decimating the village, she killed everyone in the village.

Upon hearing the news, and discover the decimation of the village, something broke inside of her.
She cursed the Gods, yelling at them for not properly protecting the village.
Then, in a grief fueled rage, she tracked down the demon, destroying as well as more than several villages in the progress.
As punishment for her recklessness, the Gods sentenced the angel to the depths of Hell.
She was supposed to be sentenced there for all eternity, but for ten years the angel waded through the flames of Hell before finally escaping.

But Azazel was not the same angel she was before. Something in her snapped. Her wings now black from the flames, and her halo also a charred black, she was overtaken with unholy power.
Immediately upon her escape, she conquered a small kingdom and took it to a higher power, quickly becoming the largest kingdom in the world.

Now known for her ruthlessness and unpredictability, she reigns over her kingdom with a cold rule.

---Lineage Arc---
Recently, she met the emotion demon, Rinako who had broken into her vault to steal her relics. After a bit of combat with the demon, Azazel lost, but however appealed to the demon's morals, and got herself free, pointing out that Azazel had done nothing to provoke her attack. After getting Azazel's word that she wouldn't go after Rinako's loved ones, she gave Rinako a locket to ensure a single favor from the demon, in return for the trouble the demon had caused her.

It wouldn't be long however until she required her help, calling upon Rinako to help rid the kingdom of a murderous demon, later revealed to be Nessa__. However what neither of them has expected was that Angelic_Sophie had tagged along, in secret. Azazel, realising exactly who she was, and what this meant for her, she took advantage of the moment, and attempted to cause the angel to fall like her. Revealing that the two of them were once part of the same clan. However, Rinako was not happy with this, and sent Azazel through a portal to a dimension that seems most impossible to escape from.

Azazel later used a curse she had placed upon Sophie, to take control of her body, demanding Rinako to free her from the dimension or she'd kill the angel. When Rinako refused, a short skirmish ensued, and Rinako devoured Sophie to keep her safe, before travelling to the dimension that Azazel was trapped in to finish the job herself. However, Azazel managed to escape, revealing she had killed Nessa, by using her as a magical battery, and then used residual energy left behind by Rinako's portal to escape to her kingdom.

After her escape, she rounded up a good amount of angels, draining them of their power, and stealing their halos, to heighten her power, and raise herself to her Angel of Death form. A fight ensued between her and Rinako, triggering Sophie's Angel of Life form, and Sophie revealed to Azazel that the two are sisters, and they made an Arvantis Pact, to always care for one another, until Azazel lost her own soul. Due to the pact, neither angel can kill the other without the other dying as well. Azazel was incapicatated by Sophie, and for now, tends to keep her mind on more important matters.

--Renewed Hope Arc---
Recently, Azazel found a partner in Amiga, however after seeing their child to be exactly like Amiga, she killed Amiga, by cutting off her head.

Years later, Rinako pays Azazel a visit, asking her questions about her daughter, Aria, and Amiga. It turned out that Aria had left all sorts of crystals across Azazel's castle, for the purpose of listening in on conversations in the castle. Rinako would teleport her out of the castle, due to Azazel's own paranoia. They would then be met by Amiga who knocked out Azazel.

Rinako would later reveal to Azazel that Amiga is a Time Goddess, and that Azazel at the same time was her mother, and daughter, as Aria would be revealed to be Amiga, as she later would change her name to, the daughter/partner would be a living paradox.

---Remembrance Arc---
Azazel recently caught the 'scent' of an Angel on a certain visitor to her kingdom, Reflet_de_Lune to be exact.
Lune was there to collect ingridents for a potion for her girlfriend who happened to be an angel, Asherah.
Azazel managaged to track down Lune and Ashe to another dimension, and effortlessly kidnapped Ashe, and brought her to her kingdom, intent on making her fall.

--Abilities--

Azazel can use her halo to shoot blasts of unholy power at her enemies. However, it also acts as a power source for her, so should someone use holy power to negate her unholy power, (or has the sheer strength to sever the invisible link by brute force), one could remove her halo, and cause her to slowly die due to a drainage of energy.

She can also use her wings to fly.

Angel of Death Form
After either draining energy from several holy beings, or stealing enough souls, Azazel can enter her Angel of Death form.
In this form, she is unstoppable, and has a seemingly unsatable appetite, and unlimited supply of energy.

--Relationships--

Family:
Angelic_Sophie, has been recently discovered to have a sort of link to Azazel, by once being part of the same clan. Upon discovering this, Azazel was quick to scoop up poor Sophie, and attempted to cause her to fall. However, her plans were thwarted by both Sophie and Rinako who sent Azazel tumbling into a portal to a place far worse than Hell itself. Later, Sophie revealed the two are sisters, and they made a pact to protect one another, which neither was able to keep.

Daughter: Amiga (Talk about a mind fuck.)
