Astrum

Astrum is a relatively young human from the looks of him. Nineteen one could guess easily enough.

He stands at about five feet, three inches in height.... Pretty short for someone just into adulthood. There's very little that's remarkable about the young man. Short-cropped, somewhat messy black hair, emerald green eyes... There *is* the tattoo over one of his eyes, which seems to have some sort of arcane significance. It's a crescent around his right eye, done in the style of celtic knots. There's also the staff he carries in his hands...

The staff is little more than a large metal cross, possibly iron, or tin, with a loop piercing through all four 'arms' of the cross, affixed atop a long, sturdy wooden pole. Despite its unimpressive appearance, it seems significant to the mage, and to anyone sensitive to such things, the staff glows with arcane power.

His robes are a rather worn, tattered affair. Once they were white, but constant wear and tear has left them faded to a more dirty grey sort of color. Torn in places, his clothing has obviously seen better days... Nevertheless, the robes are kept quite clean, washed frequently, and mended in just as many places as they are torn.





Astrum wasn't born in the world of the nexus park, but the world he comes from is no less full of magic, monsters, and creatures looking to make a meal of anyone they can. Selected from a handful of potential candidates, Astrum was imbued with the knowledge of a circle of summoners at birth, brought into their ranks and trained without rest until his twelfth birthday.

Then, disaster struck. It wasn't Astrum who failed the spell, but a botched summoning circle nonetheless sucked him into another world entirely. For seven years, he's been living in the nexus park, relying heavily on his summoned creatures to keep him alive. And so far, he's survived.....

(Green text means he's alone, yellow means he has an eidolon summoned, and red means he has more than one.)


Eidolons:

Though he is by no means an incompetent arcane caster, Astrum's real power lies in his eidolons. Monstrous arcane entities pulled from the aether by rituals and force of will, bound to his spirit, they are both part of him, and separate beings, at the same time. He has quite a repertoire of summons available to him, and he has the ability to create new ones as well.

The most commonly seen eidolon he possesses, almost always summoned in one form or another, is the elder dragon Dominatus, a huge, black scaled, acid breathing beast. He's quite intelligent and friendly, however, so long as you do not threaten Astrum.
