Assault

Assault, the ice-blooded, steel-footed, fire-fisted Lucario. A multitalented type, and the calm, rational counterpart to Battery's raging soul.

Reserved would best describe this one. Calm, calculating, perhaps a little bit cold. His deep, piercing eyes study and analyze everything presented him, looking for any sort of exploitable angle or weak point. His move list is extensive, his body trained exactly such a way. If it exists, he can take it down... or at least, he has the plans in place.

Yes, Assault is a thinking fighter, unlike his occasional cohort. He not only accepted the notion of types and weak points, but embraced them; a knowledgeable warrior need never take a hit. A much more civilized way to satisfy his fighting instincts. And yet, this one is lacking in improvisation, and his confidence is easy to shake if something he can't plan around presents itself. To put it simply, he lacks guts. Despite covering many avenues of attack, he isn't invulnerable, and his ability to adapt on the fly may just be that critical moment.

Outside of battle... doesn't exist for him. In the most casual settings, you'll find him as on guard as in the heat of combat. He isn't quite the type to have an eternally clenched fist, necessarily, but asking him the simplest things is like pulling teeth. He might be excused as a strong, silent type by some, but there are enough to whom he comes off as a jerk. Paradoxical, considering he doesn't invite unnecessary conflict, despite always being ready for it... one might say, a masculine brain?

Although his face doesn't show it, intimidation seems to affect him more than others, his strikes becoming less coordinated and his guard much less suited to counterattack. That said, hypnosis, charm, confusion, or other indirect methods of lowering his guard are much less effective. His mind is steeled against mental tricks. Feeling a roar or screech in his bones, on the other hand...
