The desert can be a treacherous place already. Artais just makes it even more treacherous... though that's not the only place one can expect to find her.
She's a scorpiongirl, obviously. Or at least an approximation of one... she's not an Earthly creature. She calls her species the Raeu, and her current 'job' is ambassador. But she's also an overly lazy car-sized scorpiongirl with anatomy built for devouring human-sized delicious things.
Her house is essentially a gigantic box with a miniature desert inside, albeit with red sand. She even included a little oasis (for visitors, and for drinking) and a few of her world's critters. Oh, and some sort of quicksand patches. It's pretty warm in there, she's often hungry. Be careful~!
